I think I hear that too now that you've written it. I have no idea about German sentence structure, but it sounds like there's another word in the middle. Could this work out as "you ..... shit"?
I can have a search for popular German insults with the word "shit" in them and see if I get a match.

Google translate can't decide whether this means "god damn shit" or "holy shit".

There's a high chance that Google translate is seriously mistaken. It often is.

That's all correct.

"Verdammte Scheiße" definitely is a German expletive, quite a commonly used one at that. As Ursus said, it just means "damn shit", although I'd more loosely translate it into something like "god fucking damnit", it's definitely more the kind of thing you'd angry yell when something seriously doesn't go your way

Well, this one's better compared to what i thought i heard. Though i believe, i still hear a "can" before think and "Misa-" at the end.

"I can't believe you can think of saying that, Misa..." sounds possible. I just can't hear a syllable for "that" and is sounds more like "Mi-so" than "Mi-sa", so, now I'm not certain that she's saying "Misato" - unless she nicknames her "Miso" like how Ritsuko and Kaji have nicknames for each other: Ritsu and Reyo.

I surely hear a pronunciation of "t". That's why i speculated it's either "this" or "it". It's not possible to say "that" in such fraction of time, neither there's enough syllables for it for what i hear.

The "Misa-" thing is probably caused to resemble hanging up call IRL, as Misato already put away the telephone from her ear before Ritsuko even started on the said sentence that we're trying to make something of, most certainly the next thing she'd do, being impatient, is hang up on her, to hurry up and take Shinji home and make some moves on him.

Listened to both of them; first is "oh verdammt idiot"/maybe "gott verdammt idiot", both loosely translating to "fucking idiot"; the second is "verdammter Schweinehund", something that probably most closely maps to "you goddamn bastard" in English

OOC, is "Schweinehund" still used these days as a cuss word? Calling someone a literal "Pig-Dog" makes them sound like they're soldiers out of an old war comic, or stereotypical commies cursing capitalists (MM's signature had something like "I'm trying to convert you to communism, you imperial capitalist pigdog!")

Your assessment seems about right. It's something that would be tossed ironically, if anything.

It is kinda outdated, yeah; occasionally it still gets thrown into the mix for some of the comically long insult chains for when you're super pissed, something like "Arschgesichtiger Unhold in Menschengestalt"/"Ass-faced fiend in shape of a man"

Double checking and correcting dialogue, changing my mind about font colours, altering the timing, etc is taking a lot of time. Initial editing of a single episode alone takes hours.

With each initial edit, would some of you like to volunteer to each watch an episode and make notes of any mistakes I've made, please?

I'm half way theough editing episode 20, so if you pick a number from 1-19 I can send you one to look at.

Any feedback would be helpful. Mistakes are the main thing to watch out for (like if I've missed a word) and noticable timing errors (my computer has had some laggy days that might have affected this).

If you have any thoughts about the font colours, don't hold back.

I've done them all with British spellings, but will go back and do an American edit when I've finished them all. This will be quick to do because all I'll be doing is changing the country in spelling checker.
Only a handful of our words are spelled differently.

As the captions are aimed at people with Auditory Processing Disorder, you'll see that some words and phrases that are relevant to the plot are pale yellow. It's a complicated disorder and prompts to notice phrases can make all the difference to us understanding the plot. We overlook things otherwise.

If there's anything you think should or shouldn't be highlighted, please let me know.
