Well, there are only two songs on that single, and if you already know it's not "Tamashii no Refrain", then by process of elimination it's "Kokoro yo Genshi ni Modore". (And yes, that is the title provided in the screenshot of the app.)

There is going to be some sort of event about Evangelion and Shin Evangelion in Hakone on January 2020.

I’m gonna bet some real money that the powers that be announce an actual release date then. Something more specific than “June sometime this year.”

Hell, I’ll aim high. They’re probably announcing when tickets go on sale that day too.

Distopia Evangelion noticed the Facebook page changed name for the first time



Nothing really important, they simply added the NGE/Shin Eva spelling alongside the Rebuild spelling.

June 6, 2020 is a Saturday and all three previous Rebuilds were released in Japan on a Saturday so it is possible.
But lately it looks to me like Japan has switched to Friday being the day they release films nationwide so who knows.
Someone with better knowledge of the Japanese film industry may be able to explain.

Since Toho likely won't let them miss the June 2020 release date the likeliest release dates for the film are June 5, June 12, June 19 & June 26.

I kinda expect the official release date will either be revealed in a new trailer premiering in front of whatever Toho's big December release this year is - a quick Google search says the CG Lupin the III movie is December 6th so maybe? - or a New Year's Day announcement.

The CG remake of Lupin doesn't look bad at all honestly.

Back in the days of 3.0 the release date was announced 4 months before the movie aired, so I don't know if they are confident enough to announce it on new year's day. Especially considering they were almost not making the deadline.

But this is the last movie and it has been in production now for a lot more than Q ever was, so who knows. They also announced the Hakone x Shin Eva event for January 2020.

The biggest difference in announcements between this film and the last three is unlike before this film is being distributed by Toho & Toei. This film is a huge part of their annual calendar. Their involvement will require Khara be more forthcoming with release data then before. Toho+Toei being involved is probably why we got an announcement teaser way back in Summer 2018 and a 10 minute preview event this summer.
Release news for Final will probably be more similar to Shin Godzilla - a Toho production - than Rebuilds 1 to 3 - relatively independent productions. Shin Godzilla had a trailer released in December 2015 that set the exact summer 2016 release date.

Also yeah, that CG Lupin movie looks good.

The man arrested for these threats also claims that Khara’s anime copyrights (which basically means Evangelion) belong to his family, which is..... weird.

I suppose that after the attack against KyAni, the Japanese police take those kind of threats very seriously, especially since the guy made direct references to the attack in his threat letters.

The Japanese article mentions khara called the police the day of the KyoAni fire if the machine translation doesn't fail.
