About a week ago, A cable station was show, of all movies, Babylon 5:In the Beginning, and B5: A Call To Arms. Watching In The Beginning, I realized a thing that didn't bug before, but seriously did now
The Minbari are goddamned idiots. They claim to 'fight with honour', yet they beat the utter living crap out of the Earth Alliance, thanks to their stealth system, mainly. So, about the ony thing the EA could do is just point their guns at the Minbari, and hope they hit, right? How is this 'honourable' fighting?
Further more, these idiots state than Sheridan was dishonourable by lureing in the Minbari Flagship, Blackstar, and essentialy took out the ship using a pair a strapped-onto asteroids 2MT nukes. Right, so the Blackstar gets blowen to hell by Sheridan, right.
Well, lone and behold, ten years later, the guys off of the short bus are trying to get Sheridan pulled off the station because He killed the Blackstar. Who are these simpering asses trying to fool. They whine to no end about this, when the E-M War was stated to be a war of genocide of the entire human race. That impliys Total War, right?
So why are these pricks whineing about this, when they nearly took out the entire human race? And why was that tension swept under the rug in less than ten years. If you harbour no hostility toward a race that threated to annilate your kind, you should be pissed.
Watching A Call To Arms, I fully remembered what was about the only really horrid thing in this: The Music is unforgiving awful, with that annoying avant-garde crap, that was completely intrusive. Did Babylon 5 have this problem? No, and I'd say that B5's music, escially from seasons 3-onward.
That was also a significant problem with Crusade, which was unfairly cancelled way too early in it's run. The episode that was supposed to air right after it got cancelled had Bester. I repeat: Frickin Bester.
ANyways, I'm done venting now. Post, and maybe we can debate.

Apparently, I'm the admin's new(read:old) Chew toy.
In the babylon 5 spinoff series that got cancelled, anyone know what the deal was with that weird box the ship captain had? Can't remember his name, but I remember he had this weird box that seemed like it would be important later on.

Crusade was canceled because TNT wanted to turn it into a show full of explosions and fist fights, so its own creator killed it by just not making more rather than making more that was cruddy.
As I understand it, it would ultimately be revealed that the box came from the Vorlons.
