Warhammer 40k: Suffer not the heretic
It is the 41st Millenium. For more than a hundred centuries the Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Terra. He is the Master of mankind and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.
Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.
To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

For the emperor!!!!
Ha don't let that title fool you, i play Tau!!!!!
Death to the emperor who sits on his throne devouring the souls of thousands each day. The greater good is all that matters and no one individual is worthy of such praise.
And to the gods of chaos i say: "please don't turn your attention towards the tau empire, i am scared of your pure, chaotic evil."
But in all seriousness 40k is a fantastic game with so much depth and lore. I almost got swept up into, but its a pricey hobby for a young guy like myself, so i had to let it go. All my old friends now play Fantasy Warhammer and they're constantly rambling on about the online game coming out in the future.
I remember a great match against a khorne army...aww man i just obliterated it. He ran 2 tri-las preds, and my railguns shredded those evil creations like they were made out of paper. His troops got stuck outside cover and my pathfinders laid them to waste. I don't beleive he even engaged me in close combat, silly chaos. Another good memory was when my farseer mind-warred a demon prince and he just popped!!!
Those were the good old days.....

So, exactly how do they suck?
Actually the Military technology of the Tau is still below the Imperium's and the area they control in the galaxy is really really small in comparison to the GLORIOUS IMPERIUM OF MAN, they barely have any faster-than-light travel and have nothing that can deal with Titans.
It's clear that the eternal light of the Immortal God Emperor does not shine upon such foul and inhuman Xenos, his shining glory is clearly beyond the grasp of such heretical monsters.

Then again, the Imperium is one of the big dogs of the 40K verse.
I'm not saying that the Tau can beat the Imperium; Indeed, the Imperium has far more manpower and resources; They'd cream the Tau in an all-out war. I'm just saying that the Tau are a credible threat if not dealt with quickly.
