[Music] Songs on repeat

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

Panty and Stocking with Garter Belt did have a really wonderful ost though, didn't it? I usually skip the EDs, but that one was sweet.

I've been all about "Somewhat Damaged" from that album over the last month. Great, great stuff.

Whoopsie!
And there I was, wondering if this was an unreleased song... I never listened much to New Order.

Yeah, it really had... I need to rewatch this show sometime. I hope the English Dub is good, because this show would be perfect in English, I feel.

Yea, I imagine it'd be pretty fun... And raunchy, haha.

You know, I never much got into them either until about the last two years or so(I was always a Joy Division fan first and foremost) but they're one of the greats. Their single catalogue, which is about 35 years of music, is basically flawless, so you could basically just jam out to their singles forever and be content. But then they had this four album streak in the 80's with Power, Corruption, and Lies, Low-Life, Brotherhood, and Technique which have even more wonderful songs on them which are easy to pass over because their singles are already great enough. AND THEN they still have more great music on the albums they've released that I haven't mentioned.

I'm taking a break from my NIN song repeat to start looking more into the Manic Street Preachers. I love their album The Holy Bible, and after hearing Everything Must Go and No Surface All Feeling from the album of the former's name, I have had those songs on repeat for the entire morning.

I've finally hopped on the Hamilton bandwagon. I bought the cast album on iTunes and have been listening to it on my way to and from work....and now in my free time.

I'm not into musical theater at all, really, but there are so many good tracks bursting with infectious energy and it tells such a fascinating story, that it's become all but a cure for the angst of the 2016 election season.

This is a video of the cast performing one of the best pieces from the musical. The song starts at 2:20. https://youtu.be/FuqvnY5BzlQ
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

I'm bit late seeing as how the album released in late September, but I've caught up with three songs from Danny Brown's new album: Atrocity Exhibition; Really Doe, Ain't it Funny and When it Rain, and I freaking love it. Hip-hop as been getting better with artists like Kendrick Lamar and Chance the Rapper getting a lot of notoriety, but as far as I'm concerned; for the most part, underground has the best stuff. I'm going to get around to listening to full album sometime this weekend.

I've also gotten back into listening to Faith No More. I remember hearing both The Real Thing and Angel Dust a year and a half ago, and while I liked them a lot, I didn't want to seek them out. Now, remembering them, I decided to hear Midlife Crisis and have it stuck in my head a lot.

So I'm disappointed in Spotify--- nearly all of my ripped Japanese tunes are nowhere to be found. I figured they'd have at least a few of the bigger artists but noooo~. All I found were a few orchestral OSTs from game soundtracks... and L'arc en ciel.

Beyond that, just endless, Jimmy Hart, poor-quality synth covers as far as the ear can hear. Just like everyone else.

They also lacked certain Western game soundtracks, like Earth & Beyond. Which is strange to me, as they seem to have other work from Frank Klepacki I hadn't even heard of.

Nothing from the Tycoon series, or Dawn of War. They have Dawn of War II, but not the first.

All in all, will probably just use it as a back up to my back up so I can keep track of at least some of the songs I had incase I lose everything ( somehow).

Or just finding alternate versions of those songs I might happen to like.

Well Spotify may suck, but this site I use may help. They have loads of game soundtracks and a bunch of anime theme songs and music collections. Most are of good quality too.

Wow, so many songs I listen to on repeat, which are all anime theme songs.

Generally I listen to the 2 Gundam Wing and 2 G Gundam OPs, the Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu OP and ED songs, "Tank" the OP for Bebop, obviously "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" (in English and two Japanese versions), a few OPs from Bleach (6 of the the first 10, can't remmebr the names) The OP and ED for "Wanna Be the Strongest in the World" a great peppy song called "Cha-La Head Cha-La" (the newer cover version from Battle of the Gods in English and Japanese), and both versions of the OP for Black Lagoon, cause that song is great too.

"Moonlight Densetsu" is probably the first Japanese OP song I heard about 6 or 7 years ago, and is also on the list.

I also listen to the SDAT Playlist I set up for my fanfic while I write to get "in the zone"

There are more songs, but honestly outside anime theme songs (which I hit repeat on most often), any of the few hundred songs on my iPad will get the repeat button pressed every now and again.

That's some good shit, though HB in particular isn't my favorite... a little too raw punk for my tastes, that album. I like my manics a little more melancholy pop.

I'm especially fond of Motorcycle Emptiness, La Tristesse Durera, I Live to Fall Asleep, and that amazing cover of Suicide is Painless of course.

A friend of mine who desperately wishes he'd been born a brit turned me on to them years ago. Also quite fond of Marillion because of the same guy.

It sure as hell suits me! A dark, raw, heavy album written by a person with many mental illnesses with lyrics about the pits of humanity? It's barely pretentious so count me in!

I have been binging on my iPod the cover versions of Gundam songs like "Soldiers of Sorrow" and "Alone Against the Wind" by both Andrew WK and Richie Kotzen. Both bring their distinct styles to the table so I can't really decide which of them I like better. It has also pushed me towards desiring possessing the Gundam Rock and Ai Senshi ZXR albums that they made dedicated to Gundam but since they only came out in Japan making them import titles, idk much about compatibility so anybody who has purchased imported CDs in the past could maybe help me out here so that I don't waste money in vain.
