Since I can't be arsed to make another brand new thread for wild speculations about what's going on in khara i'll just put this here.

Shuichi Iseki has posted some pics and comments on twitter showing khara is packing up at the current location:

Initially he posted a tweet about year-end cleaning, but then someone said that doesn't look like cleaning but more like leaving:

Something something consturuction and moving to another location.

Maybe with all the recent hiring and seeking a larger digital department they outgrew the tiny studio we saw them in the Animator Expo documentary, or maybe they're shutting down, who knows :P

I doubt they're shutting down. That would be a starkly different tune than the whole "Come work for us" tune they were singing last week. They're probably just moving.

With all the new hiring, they're probably moving to a bigger studio. Now they'll need to give us a tour of that!
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!

Yeah for some reason I highly doubt Anno would let studio Khara die before Final/Shin Eva is out so probably just moving.

Moving studios.

Having the fourth Eva film on their to-do list is enough to keep investors, stockholders, etc involved in Khara long enough to keep the company alive.

Unless if they're having "The Wolf of Wall Street" style coke parties I guess.

Still nothing about a possible studio move, but it looks like the deadline for their latest hiring drive is coming up soon:

Another round of hiring. Douga animators and CGI/VFX people. Deadline to apply is June.

2017 theatrical release might actually be a possibility at this point. Maybe September 1st 2017? 10 years to the day since 1.0 hit theatres? :D

That would be so nice.

Either way, whether it's Eva or not they're hiring people to make SOMETHING! :)

Their recruitment page actually mentions Evangelion! :leekspin:

The 3DCGI/VFX is obvious, but what's that first thing with the 4?

Oh my Dog... They'll even hire complete newbies! So, they'll even train you from scratch. If I was Japanese, I'd drop everything right now and write an application.

It says

・動画スタッフ 第4期 (アニメーター)

Animation staff "for the period of number 4" animator. (So I guess this position is available while Shin Eva's being produced only)

These are the hiring rounds, they've been numbered for a while now since Q's release. The 4 doesn't correspond to the 4th Eva movie. The 3rd round of hiring was back in August of 2015 and that's quite a few years after the 3rd movie was released.

Oh, ok. Thanks for the clarification. I already thought, this translation might be wrong. Those counters are giving me a hard time, lol.

Khara is posting a new round of applications for work on Phase 4 of something. I have no idea what any of this means. Just wanted to share.

Still the same thing as last time, they're just reminding people of the due date.

I think they've had that "including the next Evangelion work" bit on the page for a couple months now.

Well today's the deadline so a few animators in Japan might be getting some calls soon. If actual production started that would be great. Based on the previous three entries I think once full production begins with a whole crew of animators it takes about 12 to 14 months to complete a film.

So if what you're saying is true that should mean we should expect a summer-fall 2017 release?

All speculation. Nothing to take as concrete facts.

Khara could be hiring people to work on a dozen other in-house projects & then maybe move them on to Evangelion when they're finally ready to start production whenever that happens. There's a variety of things these people could be being hired for & there's no guarantee that if there is work for Eva that it's something they'd be starting right away.

Basically I wouldn't start getting really hyped for Final until Hideaki Anno says "Yeah, we're finally animating it" or Khara announces a release date.
