It's great. It's a completely different song to the original too. He's taken a quirky synth-pop tune and turned it into a classy Motown number. I love it.

Rabit + Dedekind Cut - R&D (BBC Radio Mary-Anne Hobbs Edit)
At 12 minutes, it's like if Aphex and Autechre had a threeway with Burial. That peak is mind-blowing, too.

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
I've been utterly possessed by the Ceadeus boss music from Monster Hunter 3 (Ultimate), which belongs to that weirdly specific subgenre characterized by women melodically wailing (what are usually) nonsense syllables or conlangs, accompanied by prominent acoustic percussion. I always liked songs like this, and I want more! I'm aware of some examples in the Akino Arai collab album Goddess in the Morning (example), various Yoko Kanno works (e.g. Song to Fly's Atomic Bird), and the main themes from Panzer Dragoon Azel (=RPG) and Orta. I know the chance is remote, but does anyone know of any others?

Been listening to this nonstop, but i have no idea what it is because it's in Chinese. I found it by clicking in the related videos for a long time.

When the need beckons, I binge on Converge.
If I'm particularly moody it'll be Joy Division, Have A Nice Life or ::insert post-punk band here::.

Really nice house tune out of Melbourne I have on loop currently; Francis Inferno Orchestra - Harmony
Nice. Converge are probably my favourite band of all-time. You Fail Me and AWLWLB are where it's at.

Trevor Something - Synthetic Love
I have obtained myself a rather obscure association with this song, and the artist more generally.

Converge is one of my all-time favorites. Changed the way I listen to music forever. My favorites are:
1.Jane Doe
2.When Forever Comes Crashing
3.Petitioning the Empty Sky
4.You Fail Me
5.split with Agoraphobic Nosebleed
Converge albums, even the weaker ones, have a certain enduring quality to them. I've got my fingers crossed for a new one this year

"The will to lose one's will?"
"Absolutely. The will to make oneself completely free. Will is the wrong word, because in the end you could call it despair. Because it really comes out of an absolute feeling of it's impossible to do these things, so I might as well just do anything. And out of this anything, one sees what happens."--Francis Bacon

Weezer's Pink Triangle. There's something about it that I just find calming when I'm buried in work.

Gary Moore's After the war.
Figured it would be appropriate for today.
Maybe some Clash later this evening.
