Ah, thankfully the costume is still of good taste.
The less frilly robe and exposed shoulders gives her a more mature look, which is kinda fitting, after all until recently she was a goddess as old as sentient life in the universe! And coming of age story and all that, Homura did that too, except that she's still in the "gothic rebellious" phase! :tongue:

I thought it was pretty obvious, the power of a wish depends on how much shit a magical girl has to go through, Homura went through a lot of shit.

As long as it's not as trippy as the Utena Movie. Yuri like Utena movie, I'm fine with. Though I prefer cutesy takes on relationships*, myself. Not even HaruMichi sex it up all the time :wink:

*And naturally, you can have a meaningful relationship without being paired off with whomever.

Anime News Network ''Madoka Magica Concept Movie Will Be Core of New Project''

It will be the core of the new project, and will act as a trailer for the project. The staff is working to integrate everything shown in the concept movie to be a part of the new work, including the image of Madoka performing ballet. Mami, Sayaka, Kyoko, and Homura all appear in the concept movie, and Kubota also mentions that Hitomi and Nagisa will have a role in the new work as well. Kubota also singled out Mami, stating that the new project will strengthen the image of Mami as a "God of Battle," and compared her to Guan Yu from The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Kubota also mentioned that character designer Ume Aoki designed the clothes for the characters, and designed something "a little different" from normal magical girls.

ほむら「それは、温かな家族。」 Homura: It is a warm family.

まどか「それは、朝ご飯の目玉焼き。」 Madoka: It is sunny-side up eggs for breakfast.

まどか&ほむら「けれど、そのどれもが天国にはないものです。」 Madoka and Homura: But Heaven has none of those things.

ほむら「それは、誰かに名前を呼ばれること。」 Homura: It is having your name called by someone.

キュゥべえ「どうして僕が? それこそ、何のメリットもないじゃないか。」 Kyubey: Why am I [here?]?…isn’t there no benefit to this whatsoever?

マミ「あなたもあなたで、誰と一緒の時も隠し事ばっかりね。」

ほむら「私の邪魔をしようっていうの?」 Homura: Are you saying you intend to get in my way?

Well, it kinda is used in this way as well, yes. But from what I gathered it's just a gathering of some very early ideas for a sequel, so an idea - a concept. So it might be even less than a teaser. Just a heads up, that the Madotrain is still running while giving the audience a broad idea of where it might go.

In Madoka's case yes but i have seen some ''concept movies'' that turned out to be nothing.

Nice chapter. Took me totally off-guard though, wasn't expecting this direction! It's been a few months since I read the first two, so I might need to go back and refresh my memory to make sure I'm getting the context right. Either way, I'm glad you're working on this again! I loved the original and am looking forward to see where else you take the story from here.

Huh, indeed it does! Speaking of the persistence of memory, my own apparently isn't so great. Rereading it was a good idea, both to refresh my memory and because this is a really enjoyable read. Great work! New chapter is good and I'm happy there's more to come.
