Because Adult Swim is for the wacky apparently kool shows with shoddy-ass animation.

Don't Get e wrong, I like Family Guy, Futurama, and Robot Chicken. I'm rather passive or I hate everything else.

Oh, and you can replicate Saul of the Mole by wearing a stupid costume, pull it up to your chest, and all neardy and retarded. Oh, and big-boobed girls eating peanut butter, gotta have that :)

It's cable, but not basic cable. Most basic cable channels wouldn't allow EoE, while premium channels would.

Well, I stopped watching it a few moments ago (about seven to twelve minutes in; I started late) because the screen was clearly squished from 16:9 to 4:3, and the sound was of the quality that I had to strain to understand what they were saying. I'm going to wait until I can get the DVD, from which I'll probably watch it subtitled.

Adult Swim would have shown it letterbox.

I'm watching it right now, and I've got no problems with sound quality. :)

Scifi Channel shows End of Eva but I doubt they'll show it.

For God's sake they blurred out the thongs of several of the Sexy Nurses in Solid State Society.

I can see them showing End of Eva, but it would be badly over edited.

I missed animonday because I forgot about it. They showed solid state society? Well if the above quote is any indication scifi is just as cowardly as they used to be when it comes to editing out questionable stuff. I remember back in the day they pulled this sort of stuff all the time.

Maybe, but if it is shown between the hours of 10PM and 6PM according to the Federal Communications Commission, even broadcasters could broadcast things considered "patently offensive" (but this situation involves cable TV so the network would only need to keep the advertisers on board to show it without any editing necessary)!

Anywho, I do agree with NAveryW-kun on his point regarding the poor quality of modifying the aspect ratio for TV. I have seen many transfers from 16:9 to 4:3 and vice versa work very well but this sure as hell wasn't one of them! :? Hope this isn't a sign of things to come (hope I didn't jinx "Ani-Monday" by posting this sentence/thought of mine too).

Oh please, on the FCC shit. After Janet Jackson and the brown tits incident, The FCC got ran by a bunch of fucking soccer moms that are alway hypocritical, espcially since they fuck their gardeners.

I fucking hate the FCC. 'Nuff said.

That boring for you? Well, I found it rather boring, as well. As to the cutting out, I'm not really sure, as I never saw the original version of this movie.

Oops "Scifi Channel currently OWNS the rights to End of EVa, but I doubt they will run it" that's what I meant.

The editing wasn't too bad; they were willing to show a man shoot himself in the head....yet they blurred out the thongs of the hot nurses. Well, it's better than DRAWING CLOTHES onto them (apparently when Outlaw Star aired on toonami, they drew clothes on the naked girls)

anything.

I, for one, would love to see an ultra-heavily-edited EoE, just for humor's sake. And of course it'd be squished from 16:9 to 4:3. Also, since Renewal of EoE hasn't been released here yet, they'd actually be vertically stretching the letterboxes away from the old version.

If they have to edit it, it'd probably go like Asuka's fighting the mp series, beats them all and for some reason they splice in the alternate reality scene from episode 26, the end.

A very good chunk of movie gone, right there. Damn, EoE's hard enough to understand the first time through.
