Cadfael:
Based on the award winning series of novels. Before Hawaii Five-O, CSI, Murder She Wrote. or any of these other cop shoes crime dramas. There was Caedfael.
Each episode is about an hour long, and they're all self contained. An episode for each novel. They're all essentially murder mysteries set in the Medieval England town of Shrewsbury. The novels and the series itself share a similar theme of subverting the stereotypes people tend to have about the Middle Ages.
What really makes this series is the acting. Sir Derek Jacobi, a Shakespearean actor is perfect in the role of Cadfael. Who's intelligence saves the day and brings justice, a small and precious victory in a world where things were harsh and horrible. Although admittedly, that part is downplayed somewhat.
True the set design leaves much to be desired, but it was the seventies so I suppose that can be somewhat forgiven.
I'd like to see this series remade actually, can you imagine this series with a 'Game Of Thrones' level of set design and budget?

This is England '90 finale. I'm literally about to cry, not just because the ending was heavy and moving, but because its the end of a franchise I've following for 7 years now.

Finished Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series is really good but I feel like it suffered a bit from filler at times but everything else (the writing, the characters, the animation, the art design, the voice acting) was all top-notch.

Joy of Painting with Bob Ross on twitch. This man is a phenomenon, especially for someone who has so less talent for arts (except for music and painting of tabletop figures) like me. But even if you ignore his exceptional painting, the guy himself is also a poet with words, talking in a nice way very casually.
I'm sure most of you know this show, if you don't you should give it a try. It is very calming.

Well, the Death Note live action tv show was erm.. interesting. Some of the changes were completely stupid (like Mello being a split personality of Near, L not being the sweet eating, unkempt bastard like he usually is, and Light being a complete crybaby), but I don't regret watching it.
Funniest thing about it is they cast a Woman to play Near. But no, they didn't turn his character or Mello's into a woman, no they had her play them both as young boys. That was incredibly awkward. They also changed how cold Near was. Near was a lot more friendly, which made him feel more like a discount L.

Good episode. It's cool how the show has evolved over the years, especially recently. I wouldn't call it a personal favorite atm, but it does entertain. Shows like Family Guy and the Simpsons simply don't do either.

So how come no one is talking about Ash vs Evil Dead? It's pretty damn good, guys, so why is no one talking about? I've watched all three episodes so far, intrigued by the usage of the Kandarian Summoning knife, hope it's the same one that killed Jason.

The Good Dinosaur is a fun Pixar flick. It's no masterpiece - Inside Out is their best film - but it's an enjoyable 90 minutes & I really loved the visual dichotomy between the cartoonish characters & the lifelike environment. Funnily enough, Pixar has made their first movie that I could have seen Disney animation doing in the 60s through 90s. It's a western... with dinosaurs.

Started watch The Man in the High Castle which is very interesting. I'm a fan for good world building and I love how the show draws you into its world though I am wondering how the Axis Powers managed to win the war (I'm guessing spoilers will explain it) though I have yet to become engrossed with any of the characters save Tagomi and John Smith but I'm hoping that will change.
