I don't have the HD version. Is it on PSN? I know I can buy the Legacy Collection but I don't want to spend $50 on something I might end up still hating.

Yes the HD version of Snake Eater has improved a lot of the bugs I experienced when originally playing it (though to be fair, that was the original X-box port which was probably buggier than the PS2 version).

Am i the only one surprised that Quiet's character design caused controversy, but shooting child soldiers during gameplay isn't? Man, i love reactionary censor-happy idiots.

GTA had a lot of flak back in the day for the 'hot coffe' mod when there was drug trafficking, prostitution and murder in the game.

New trailer gives me goosebumps every time I watch it, I absolutely love the speeches.

I only just got around to watching the E3 trailer and I lost my shit at the New Order song; it's a perfect fit.

So, having mentioned I only just saw the E3 trailer, and with the game only a month and a half away from release; I'm going to get my arse into gear and go pick up Ground Zeroes this week. Primarily it's so I can get the save data to unlock the extra goodies in TPP, but also as a means to ramp up my anticipation for 1 September. Anyone else still going to be playing on last-gen platforms?

That was initially my plan back before I bought GZ, but the insane levels of plant pop-in on the PS3 version cured me of that. I've since bought the PS4 version of GZ. No more ninja-plants materializing 10 feet in front of Big Boss. What really sold me on the PS4 version of TPP, though, were those E3 trailers. Also the Collector's Edition wasn't available for the last-gen versions, so that affected my decision as well.

I've got a friend who's going to be getting the 360 version of TPP, though. He can't afford a next-gen console right now, but he can't wait to play the game either. I'm curious as to how many discs it will take up on the 360.

I'm going to be playing on PS3. I'm not too fussed on graphics. I don't want to have to splurge on a PS4 (I spend way too much money on other shit) and I like the fact that Konami are releasing it for last-gen, keeping the platform somewhat valid. And for me, still using the PS3, I like the notion; kind of like getting the most out it before the system's "grandfathered". Makes sense anyway, considering whenever I play a video game it's more of an event as it happens so rarely, e.g. the last new game I played was GTA5.




My one hope for TPP, and it's a long shot; that the end of the game is basically a remake/reimagining of the first Metal Gear from the POV of Big Boss, and that we get to play as either Grey Fox, Liquid/Eli or a young Solid Snake (New Coke Theory craziness) somewhere in the mix.

I usually don't care about graphics either, but those plants really bugged me for some reason. I'm also happy it's still on last-gen consoles, that way more people can play it (like my friend.) Seeing as how it might be the last MGS game we ever get, though, I wanted to play the definitive version (at least as far as console versions go). I decided to buy a PS4 this year because TPP was releasing, and now that Fallout 4 and SW Battlefront are also confirmed for this year I have no regrets. Still going to buy most multi-platform games for PS3 or Vita whenever possible, mostly for cost reasons. New Vita games are $20 less than new PS4 games, and their PS4 versions usually aren't upgraded enough to justify the extra $20.

I'm really hoping Amanda makes an appearance in TPP, she was one of my favorites from Peace Walker. It would be awesome if she was a mission buddy.

We're (Zap and I) definitely gonna buy it on PS4. Too hype to not play on Next-gen consoles.

Metal Gear Solid has always been incredible at "designing" its men, and the trend merely intensifies with each increase in graphical power. Seriously, there are hardly any series out there where the male characters are as badass and fabulous as in Metal Gear.
