^ It does feel like a shallow battle. And people expecting others to feel surprised by the lady wearing practical armor seems a bit cliche. Regardless, I like it. I was never a fan of cleavage armor (especially when standing next to a fully-suited man), but the discussions around them tend to be just as weird and useless as the cleavage armor itself.

^I'm surprised that they actually revealed Kylo Ren's face. Then again, it would be cliché for him to be horribly disfigured or an alien or something under there.
Gwendoline Christie looks awesome as Phasma. The chrome armor is an odd touch but it looks pretty cool under the right lighting.

Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

Mmm, morally ambiguous females in gender-neutral, identity obscuring suits. Somehow way better than your average Boba Fett clone. Maybe it's the juxtaposition.

We have to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, and work. Or waffles, friends, and work. But work has to come in third.

Come read EVA Sessions! This place has it, too! There'll be pizza! Not really! There are other things, too! Not EVA Sessions! Did I mention the pizza!?

I know! That's the thing that's got me riled up about this! For MANY reasons!
Honestly, I don't think it'll stick, I think they're just trying to introduce drama for dramatic drama. That being said, it really irritates me, especially since I grew up on the old canon. That was my childhood, teenage years, and early adulthood. That was MY Star Wars.
Granted, it was in desperate need of a canon reboot (Yuuzhan Vong? Really? And what the hell happened to Jacen Solo? And what about Mara!?), but that being said, I still feel uncomfortable with just chucking out...all of that. Like thirty years of fiction.
...for this.
God damn that mouse....

Yeah, that does seem pretty dumb.
For my post-3I fic, go here.
The law doesn't protect people. People protect the law. -- Akane Tsunemori, Psycho-Pass
People's deaths are to be mourned. The ability to save people should be celebrated. Life itself should be exalted. -- Volken Macmani, Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra
I hate myself. But maybe I can learn to love myself. Maybe it's okay for me to be here! That's right! I'm me, nothing more, nothing less! I'm me. I want to be me! I want to be here! And it's okay for me to be here! -- Shinji Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion
Yes, I know. You thought it would be something about Asuka. You're such idiots.

And here's the dumb thing: it's pre- ESB.
We know this character will not be around for long. We can't be invested in a character who is introduced in a way that always let's us know they won't be sticking around.

That doesn't make sense for so many reasons, why would leia flirt with han if she KNEW he was married? or grieving?
leia is not stupid and she would not let han flirt with her if she was just going to be another "on the side" type of girl.
Also han never came off as the kind of guy that would cheat, he was a scumbag yeah but even before his character development he was still a decent enough guy to where he COULD change.
And if this woman dies then again they would have to come up with some BS excuse as to why han is acting exactly the same as he usually does instead of sad his wife just died in ESB?

I guess they figured Han's morality wasn't grey-area enough already and decided to turn him into Space Gendo? Either way, this is pretty fucked up. Judging by her face I'd say a lot of beers were involved in their marriage, which may explain why he didn't seem to remember being married in the original trilogy.
