Moyoco's short was cute, and technically well done, albeit not very memorable on every other level. But since this is the Animator Expo after all, I guess animation for animations sake is ok. Memoirs of an Amorous Gentlemen could tie in with her currently running Manga. Just throwing that out there.

Well I enjoyed that one.

I'm gonna guess Idol Warzone is the short that has the futuristic samurai(as I put it in my words).

Also we've gotten half way through season 2 at this point.

Nope. That one is Ikuto Yamashita's.

I would guess that samurai one is Hiroyuki Okiura's, his name is in the 2nd trailer but not in the official S2 list so that might be out all the way in S3.

Ashame it won't be released till later looks really good.

Well either way I am still hype for Idol Warzone.

Since we only will get 6 shorts in season 3 I wonder if it will be double length or something like that.

I appreciated this one on a technical level, and the character is cute and all, but it didn't really resonate with me. It got a "wow, that's kinda neat" response out of me and not much else.

lol what a fail on my part. :lol:

I just thought they were new because a tumblr that always posts up to date stuff posted them today, and it was by people working on the short.
I'll give that calendar a look now.

Well, the whole point is to challenge the anthropocentric view of the universe (in a ridiculous and entertaining way). Compare this to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which suggested that mice are the superior species on Earth.

The music is a big part of what makes this short work.

^Well, the mice in turn were actually humans who had taken on new forms, so that analogy sort of caves in like a dejected drunk man in a rainstorm. If one considers the dolphins the superior race of THHGTTG, though, then I can see where you're coming from.
