[Music] Songs on repeat

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

Yeah, I've been really into this album for the past few weeks! Leviathan is probably my favorite music project (I have nearly all of his label music on CD and three of his demos on cassette) and I think that the new record might be the best thing he's done since Tentacles of Whorror. What are your favorite songs on it?

All of them :D I guess Gardens of Coprolite, Wicked Fields of the Calm, and Within Thrall would be the three I like the best. The first one because of the chaotic middle part that reminds me of Massive Conspiracy Against All Life, the second one because of the amazing atmospheric parts throughout the track, and the third one because it's a perfect old school black metal ripper.

"Wicked Fields of Calm" is one of my favorites too, even though it's a re-worked version of "Pondering the Wealth of Stars" from the split with Iuvenes. My other favorites are "A Veil is Lifted" and "All Tongues Toward." I agree that the whole album is great, but I really prefer the second half of the album, where things get slower and more anguished.

Wrest has never been better than on his Lurker of Chalice material.

Apparently he plans on releasing a few LoC demos in the near future.

If I recall correctly, he stated there are a couple unreleased Lurker albums. Also, to add to what I said earlier, I wasn't saying Leviathan isn't good. It's fantastic, probably my favorite black metal project. I just feel like LoC just seems to be the pinnacle of what he set out to do musically.

Considering that Jef's goal for Leviathan has always been, as stated by himself, to create as aggressive, ferocious and punishing music as he can muster, the relatively mellow Lurker album is more a deviation from what he set out to do than anything else (though it is my favourite by him as well).

Beautiful Freak by The Eels

In addition to being a great song, it's also in one of my favorite movies.

Dont know why i was playing sonic and decided to turn on this: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - The Nightmare Woods (Run Run Rottytops!)

SPOILER: Show
This level was really fucking suggestive, also says a lot about rottytops considering half of the monsters in this area that you have to totally avoid are shaped like a penis

God, this tune always reminds me of a happy time in my life when I watched this series. I'm at the verge of happily crying, whenever I hear it. Oh, the sweet melancholy. Thank you very much for sharing.

I don't particularly like it but I just heard Panda Bear's remix of Interpol's 'All the Rage Back Home': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhmPmjeRPJc

Now I at least know what Paul Banks would sound like on acid.

It's good enough for me. I'll just be taking this and adding it to my list.

If you haven't heard the original you should check it out, COL. As an Interpol die-hard it felt like my feet raised off the ground a couple of inches when I first listened to it.

Both versions have their merits. Panda Bear's his typical drug induced trance fare, while the original has this etherial quality reminding me of songs from Beach House.

And now, I'm going to look up who Interpol is.

I'll give it a listen. . .

Just did, and you're right the original is better. The remix is still worth a listen though. ;)
