I managed to find the info on the rest of the schools translated!
Black ForestFirst, Black Forest couldn't actually dock their school ship at their official home province because it doesn't have the right kind of port that can allow for it, so they have another port elsewhere that they actually use.
The Nishizumi school is ANCIENT. They started as horseback archers in 1754. When archery became obsolete, they converted to horseback firearms. Combine with another tradition leading to a female focused school of combat concerning the use of guns and Naginata while on horseback. When Japan modernised the school got incorporated in the government military. And when tanks were first introduced, Nishizumi school got access to tanks first in the country. Thus Japanese Senshado started there.
After WW1 ended, a lot of leftover tanks were sold. Nishizumi purchased a lot of them and thus they truly became a tank powerhouse of the nation.
Germany links: In the medieval times there was a deliberate attempt by the Nishizumi school to learn Prussian Calvary tactics. There was something about a doctor (need help translating!) and basically they were best of friends with Prussians. But then WW1 happened and Japan allied with England so they had to break diplomatic relations.
During WW1 there was skirmishes with Prussian colonies near Japan, and this lead to Purssian POWs. Some of these POWs ended up staying in Japan instead of going home, and many of them were guests at Nishizumi School because of past ties and friendly history. This leads to social networking with their relatives, some of them obtaining high level positions in the German government and heavy industry, and the result was Black Forest Highschool being set up in Japan.
After WW2 ended, during the confusion at the time, large quantities of rare and even experimental military hardware in Germany ended up being shipped to Black Forest for safe keeping. (So THAT's how they got a Maus!)
Schol attitude: The students are extremely lawful and strongly believe in justice and rules. And whenever they do something they always go full force all the way. They are interpreted by others as stubborn and conservative, and not very good at negotiations. The school badly needed a shakeup as they have set in their old ways too long.
Blue Division High SchoolThey have regular practice matches with Black Forest. They prefer tactics involving quickly breaking through enemy lines and then hit them from behind. The team is surprisingly tough to defeat. They are obviously a reference to the real
Blue Division. Half the paragraphs are filled with tank info, like how they modify tanks that had machine guns to carry artillery guns. Historical refference to how they (both sides of Spanish Civil War) had a sort of upgunning fetish. Known National (Francoist) upgunings of the Panzer I include the better-known Breda model (fully enclosed turret with Breda 20mm AT gun, whose 40mm@500m made it actualy useable for senshado, and the unsucessful 37mm, 45mm and *TWIN 37mm* prototypes, all them ment to be fully enclosed, all three unsucessful, single prototype with no photos). It must be noted that the Germans were fucking scared of the things, deeming them "too crazy, too dangerous".
And then we have the Republican prototype,
Verdeja, which combined the 45mm gun of a T26 in betwen he two coaxial MGs of a Panzer I (literally) in an AA-capable mount.
School culture: Sunny personalities, very curious about everything, and enjoys talking. Very much famous for their artistic talents, with their music, paintings, drama plays, together with the Andorra High school they are the twin arts specialists. The school has many gourmets, and they organise feasts with other local schools like Andorra regularly.
Gregor High SchoolIt all started when Japanese painted kitchenware and pottery first became popular as an export item to europe, and Czech merchants came to Japan to set up a depot for the manufacture and shipping of goods to be sold to Europe. The pottery factories they built eventually became the future Gregor High School. The Bushido memorabillia and things influenced the Czechs and some came to Japan to learn more. Gregor treats the Japan-Czech international cultural exchange as one of their most important subjects. And a part of that includes Senshado. Sadly, they are poorfags.
PravdaWhen the Tzar Russia was developing the Eastern territories, they needed places to service their ships. Because of their proximity Russia sent men and resources to the area to build ports and ship yards that became Pravda. The native Russians that were there built a school for their children, and when the trade rount with Russia was formally completed in the 1890's, many Russians spent the rest of their lives in Japan. Their children attended a school built from a 2nd hand ship that became modern Pravda.
When Senshado reached its prime, Pravda had the advantage of being able to import tanks directly from Russia. They became really strong after the 1980's when they got themselves T-34s and IS-2s.
The tanks themselves are often modified to suit their needs too, with uprades to optics and radio, and weight modifications to go faster.
Pravda is the envy of smaller schools, and is one of the few that was able to field 50 tanks at a time for the special exhibition 50 vs 50 matches. (One assumes the other school is Saunders.)
Pravda is a large school, but the tankers lack flexibility. Things fall apart as soon as the commander mess up. This was why Pravda tend to get knocked out at the first round in matches because one simple mistake gets them crushed.
Waffle AcademyWaffle is a Belgium themed school with an interesting past. Belgium as a nation has limited natural resources thus their economy focus on importing raw materials and sell the valued-added finished products.
The Kansai region formed political bonds with Belgium, on the surface, for no reason than cultural exchange. But in actuality the local government wanted to poach their manufacture technology. Waffle was originally called Belgian industry exchange school. And it was successful in improving the manufacturing skills of the locals. However when the war started, the contact with Belgium broke down and the school shrunk. Senshado thus halted there.
Some members of the school sees that the end is near and refused to give up, so they changed the school's direction to focus on Belgian culinary traditions. This was a hit with Kobe citizens and the school started growing again. The school changed its name to Waffle to reflect that it is no longer about manufacturing. When they start to run out of classroom for new students, they purchased and refurbished an American school ship that was meant to be dismantled.
The increased popularity of the school means they started running into cooking ingredient shortages, and have now started to import food products from Belgium directly. The school just kept upgrading their facilities until they were able to process meats, seafood, and there was even an arts division on the side. As the school expanded, so did the student numbers and Senshado was revived. After much negotiation they got themselves 105mm M4 medium tanks. There seems to be issues with turrets and that they waiting for approval to use them in matches.
The school is hard working and conservative. Have a friendly culinary exchange with Blaue Division.
Continuation High SchoolThe early history is hard to deciphor, as Finland as we know it didn't exist until 1917. But somehow there was things about royalty visiting and the like. After independence the future school wanted to help the new nation by establishing trade, and this means creating a path to Finland from Hokkaido, THROUGH the North Polar Ice. Japan was not yet able to build a good enough Icebreaker vessel so they bought one from Finland. That ship would became the future schoolship.
The school has a mix of tanks from many nations, and they specialise in crazy modifications on these tanks. They have crazy accurate gunners, and invincible in the snow. (Simo Häyhä reference!)
On the other hand, in near tropical areas they are doomed...
Culturally the students have high endurance, enjoys solitude, but is crazy serious about friendships. Friends are like family.
Count High SchoolYes, it is Romania. Talk about silly...The whole thing got started when a wealthy Romanian Aristocrat decided he wants to build a hotspring resort in Japan, in an area that he say resemble his homeland. That resort was popular and this leads to the development of the area and the formation of the school. The silly thing is that the Aristocrat was NOT a Count, he was a Duke. No one remember why they called the school Count.
The school specialises in agriculture and the development of new breeds of crops. The school also have a very peculiar and POPULAR elective in Witchcraft(!), with many young girls learning the ways of the Wicca for their goal to become fortune tellers.
Viggen High SchoolMinor school, school established by a Swidish Botanist and the school started with plant based courses, expanding to engineering and steel industries. They also got as far as agricultural courses and carpentry, though recently home economics seem to be a big deal there.
The students are enthusiastic about Senshado, but they couldn't attend the national tournament due to lack of tanks and crew numbers.
Chi-Ha-Tan AcademyChihatan have links with local schoolship construction. The school was sandwiched between an area that produces fine horses, and the industrial heartland. The school has a fine archery and Naginata tradition, done on horseback. (This seems to be similar to Black Forest.)
Like Black Forest they move into tank driving after WW1 ended, and they started driving tanks Japan made themselves. The first instructors were wW1 veteran tank drivers.
The school's best performance was when they reached the 4th round one time. But recently they have been rpeated crushed in the first round. Most recently they got annihilated by Black Forest at extreme range before they could even fight back. This is despite they did what they could to improve their tank's performance.
The school culturally end up with girls with strong maternal instincts. The school has a huge library that is renowned in the country, and students even publish their own books. And as mentioned earlier, they still have a fine equestrian tradition.
Maple High SchoolManzo Nagano was the first Japanese to immigrate to Canada in 1877. That was where the Canadian relations with Japan started. There was many other Japanese who moved to Canada since. Official embassy construction was done in 1889 and 1929. And the focus on the exchange of ideas concerning farming, forestry and culture.
A school was built to teach fishing specialising in the North Pacific ocean. Later an incomplete schoolship was purchased and a massive forest planned on top.
School has a very active Senshado club, specialising in mobile warfare. They use cruiser tanks mostly with some light tanks.
