I would've expected a Half-Life 3 announcement before this.

Zims Back!

Yay!

In Comic Books.

Boo!

Having said that I am excited for this. I hope Vasquez can finally give the Zim fanbase that Epic Finale he said he was going to produce back in the day before Nick screwed him over.

Speaking of Vasquez. . . last I checked he said he would "shoot himself in the head" before doing anymore Zim. So what brought about the sudden change of heart?
I’ll escape now from this world, from the world of Jean Valjean, Jean Valjean is nothing now! Another story must begin!

I actually think that's for the best. The exponentially lower budget means it probably won't be cancelled until Jhonen is ready to stop. Also, Jhonen's comics have wonderful author's notes in the margins.

I always hear people say he said that, but the times I have hear him talk about Zim he's always seemed interested in bringing zim back if he had the chance. When did he say that?

Awesome news! A college friend of mine was friends with him waaaay back in the day (they attended the same college) but apparently fame changed him or some such. She showed me some of his old doodles/notes he used to do--was pretty interesting to see.

That's quite interesting; one of the first times I had ever seen Zim was in a Nickelodeon-produced Spongebob Squarepants comic/magazine thing that I picked up when I was a kid. It had a few other Nicktoons in separate comics, but the one I remember most was the Invader Zim one (if I recall, the art might've been done by Vasquez too). I'll have to try and find it amongst all of my old comic books now, crammed away somewhere.
