^ Agreed. I literally squealed in theaters when I saw eye-patch Asuka for the first time during the Preview at the end of Eva 2.0. I was not expecting that in the slightest.

I guess I'm an asshat. I just sort of cringe imagining what's under that eyepatch - my own personal headcanon says it's the remnants of Bardiel having corrupted her left eye, so I hope that Asuka is free of that fucker by the end of 4.0.
