Oh man. That Tetsujin statue in the background, the children's expression, the dead-serious ranger dudes... Everything about that picture is just gold

I may not look like it but I enjoyed my family's christmas party very much

Happy Holidays, everyone. Been real busy lately so I haven't been around much.

Don't celebrate and dwell on 2014 for too long, think about what you want in 2015 and go do it.

Cheers

^It's like Juri's ringlets with Nanami's hair colour, and a healthy dose of Tomoe Mami thrown in for good measure.

Yeah, I was getting the Mami vibe as well. Needs some more drills.

After not shaving since Christmas 2013, I went and got rid of all of my beard for 2015. Thus ends the year of the beard. Witness the new and shiny Oz, looking at you with those murderous eyes.

...Oz looks much different than I expected him to look. Somehow I have managed to never see any pictures of him before.

The only photos of me you could have seen here are my old Gendo pose photo in my profile (which was replaced by moe loop almost 2 years ago) and the photo of me at a handshake event last summer in the Oz in Japan thread. I don't like taking photos of myself and people don't tend to take photos of me either - and I don't like sharing the few I have.

Ah, now I remember the Gendo pose one. That was... yeah, I didn't even remember I'd seen it until you brought it up. That was the one with the b/w filter on, if I recall correctly.

Maybe I'm just biased because of Zap/Daniel Bryan/etc, but I think men look best with full facial hair (beard and mustache) instead of just one versus the other. :D

What headphones have you got there?

I would have let my moustache grow if it actually looked good. Instead, when left unshaved, it's only just a couple of long strands of hair instead of a proper, thick moustache. As for the headphones, they are Sony's MDR-7506.

Didn't know where to put this, but I made a logo for my "band".
SPOILER: Show
Image

I painted it on a small 8 inch canvas, scanned it and cleaned it up the best I could in Photoshop. At first I was going to have it made out of amputated body parts, but that wouldn't have reflected the music well, nor would having blood drip from it be very fitting. I instead went with a gold look to it, something sinister but still almost regal. After putting it through, I see some stuff that I need to work on, like the last letter having no highlights, some stuff still needs shading, and the letter "a" in the middle not even looking like an "a". Also, not telling what it says, I'd like to see how legible it is.

I looked at that and couldn't tell what it was supposed to say. Then I remembered your band name. But if I hadn't, I don't think I would have been able to figure it out.

I get
SPOILER: Show
"Amputation"
- but I needed your mention of the "a" to get there. Another difficulty is seeing the two parts of the "p" as one letter. It fits your mention of body parts, I guess.

I first read it as Mootation. But now that I see the A in front it stands out more clearly.

Okay, revised it with your advice. Made the "P" and "A" easier to read.
Compare the first:

To the revised version:

The colors also aren't as muddy and there's much better definition. I have no idea how that happened, some fluke with the scanner I guess. I think it looks much better now.
