Just finished a 24-hour relay race. In total I ran around 42 km (marathon distance). Incredibly tired but also feel accomplished. Got a huge cramp in my right calf halfway through, but managed to pull through for the last 9 km.

As Monk already knows, I'm working on an RPG game engine. The biggest problem I've had, so far, is figuring out where the engine should end and where the scripting system should begin. Not just that, but correctly interfacing Lua and the engine isn't that simple.

Well, the basic scripting system is written. It only has two methods exposed to it, but that's enough to display dialog boxes and represents a significant time investment in terms of debugging and designing. The nice thing about scripting is that you don't have to recompile the entire engine (which, at the moment, takes about 10 seconds, which is fairly long), all you do it just edit a script. It's nice when you're troubleshooting something and have to keep testing and retesting. The program may take longer to actually compile than it will to test.

I found a bunch of old Japanese, European (and a few American) Dragonball trading cards at our local Dollar Tree recently.

I dropped down from a size 4 jean size to a size 2. And I'm feeling super confident and proud myself because I haven't been a size 2 since I was a teenager. I'm also able to do 200 of crunches, squats, and bicycle kicks during my workout instead of doing 100. The best part of all this is that my crush said he was proud me.

Got to go out to a sushi dinner with my father this evening. We had a fantastic time.

My Sempai gave me the cute nickname of calling me his Princess.

The Wii U Gamepad AC adapter replacement that Nintendo support is sending me for free under warranty, which I felt was taking forever while at the same time I felt it was probably better that way because I have work to do, finally shipped and the tracking information says it's going to arrive on Monday -- the day my project is due and therefore it will arrive just in time for the start of my winter break while being impossible for me to distract myself with up until then.

Well, two of my traitorous roommates are moving out! I mean, it's not as good as vengeance, but it'll do.

Inventory at the Armory took WAY longer than I wanted, then resulted in a two and a half hour drive to the CO's house, followed by an hour drive home. So that was no bueno.

BUT...we have a new climbing rope suspended in our Armory's weight room (about twenty to thirty feet up). I shimmied up that sucker in about two seconds using arm strength alone.

That's a cherry on the sundae, if I may say so myself.

Did something crazy today and volunteered to cover a co-workers shift all of next week, which is gonna be crazy week with Thanksgiving and then Black Friday.

I was first choice because according to my bosses, I just get things done and done right so they know I'm reliable and my willingness to always lend a hand when needed is greatly appreciated.

Hearing all of that was a great confidence booster, and I'm glad I have gained such trust in very short order.
