Have you posted anything about why you didn't like TTGL? I'd be interested to read what didn't endear it to you.

Ok I watched the first episode of Gunbuster 2... So far it seems like they were almost trying to do a parody of Gunbuster. Still pretty fun, though. The buster machines in 2 are very unusual robots. Whatever Dix Neuf is made of seems to be very elastic.

TTGL is overrated but still slightly enjoyable. I enjoyed kill la kill far more though but that might just be due to the hype.

Nadia : Episode 24
This is so bad which is such a shame due to how well episodes such as 22 were.

Just skip island arc filler bullshit not even done by GAINAX. All you need to see are 30 & 31, then you can jump straight to 35.
ran1: Oh gosh this sentence gave me an internet boner. You're so tsundere.
Mugwump: Goddamn it, Xard! Take me in your arms, you magnificent sex god bastard!
And don't forget to wear the Ran mask.
Eva Yojimbo: You really are the Otaku equivalent of a Catholic and Jew rolled up into one giant dakimakura of guilt.
Gob Hobblin: Sanctimonious, subtly racist, vaguely misogynist, somehow says something while at the same time saying...nothing, really, at all....

Nice, Xard. That's nice.

After reading all the love you guys have for Gunbuster, I caved in and started watching the first episode. What did I get myself into? Robots doing gym exercises?! NOW I've seen it all! The academy robots didn't leave lasting impressions on me but watching Noriko taking down the bully with the Inazuma Kick was epic.

For kuzronk's information, I had a very different reaction: While I still disliked the island and Africa arcs, I still found them to be worth watching. But only just barely, and mostly for things like Nadia turning sweet on Jean (however briefly).

Okay, maybe not so different after all, but still.

You need to watch, if only to prevent that niggling feeling of not being sure if you should have!

That is ultimately why I watched it myself, and I felt vindicated by the end of the experience because otherwise I'd wonder how the heck that one guy wound up back in the party.

Just watched episode 6 of Cross Ange. Just because this time the fanservice was cut down a bit doesn't mean we didn't get a bathing scene with Ange and Momoka the maid at least. And this had to be the perfect environment to reminisce about happier times. Next episode focuses on Salia which I have been clamoring for since she doesn't get enough time considering she's supposed to be the second protagonist after Ange.

Hellsing Ultimate a.k.a. Gore-Shonen
Certainly not perfect or outstanding. But if you crave for über-stylish, shonen-esque action with over the top violence, you will get your serving. I had fun, although after hitting the high point in Episode 7, it loses some of its steam. You can certainly see the troubled production history.
Also watched the Dawn… The Highlight was definitely the quasi-teaser for Drifters, lol.

Verdict: A teenager’s vision for an adult One Piece

Ghost in the Shell Arise Border Four: Ghost Stands Alone a.k.a. Complex
Man, this was by far the best instalment of this Movie-series. Starting off with one of the best Action Sequences in Anime, followed up by an interesting plot while setting seeds for it’s quasi-sequel Stand Alone Complex. A worthy instalment for the franchise. Also, that ending-sequence.

Verdict: I definitely wouldn’t recommend to take a rain check on this one

Watamote OVA
Well, this was another little fun instalment of our loveable issue-ridden heroine. If you liked the series, you’re going to have fun with this one too.

Noragami OVA
Well, if you liked the characters, there are your stereotypical, sometimes funny Episodes with the cast of Noragami.

Attack on Titan a.k.a. Wir sind das Essen und sie sind die Jäger
This series was a blast from beginning to end. If this show knows one thing, it is how to entertain. Altough there were some speed bumps along the ride, in sake of drawing out the series (especially the forest and the Trost Episodes where almost run of the mill shonen in terms of Episode structure), it had in turn some awesome sequences, that made up for it. I hope the upcoming movies do a better job with the pacing. Animation was breathtaking at times. Whenever the second season starts, count me in.

Verdict: A watchable Shonen

Hopefully the movies don't pull a GITS: SAC and bleach all the life out of the source TV show. The Laughing Man was pretty terrible, I think-- a lot of what made the first season of SAC so entertaining was getting to know the characters as they went off on other missions. LM wasn't done very well, I thought. Same with Individual Eleven.

Go watch Arise. Those movies are definitely not as mesmerising as the Oshii Version, but are also far from being as lifeless as SAC was at times. While I found the Laughing Man pretty dry, I was pretty entertained by the Individual Eleven. But Solid State Society... Either went over my head, or was the driest and loftiest piece of the series; without having the visual prowess of Innocence to make up for it.

Oh my God. I totally forgot to mention; after Kenji and Yoko, I.G. managed to get Cornelius one of the most influential figures of 90s J-music to do the Soundtrack. And man; if you listen to the opening song with headphones, you're trippin' real hard into another dimension.

@kuzronk, I'm watching Nadia too but I'm on episode 4.

What's weird about it is that is much more lighthearted and cartoony than NGE, which I was not expecting going in. I like it so far, though. It reminds me of the vaguely European feel of "Kiki's Delivery Service" and a little bit of "Laputa"

I'm still trying to finish Turn A Gundam because I've let it sit for too long on my list. I think I'm on ep. 25 at the moment

Is Psycho-Pass 2 any good? I heard it was pretty good, but I didn't really enjoy the first season all that much...

For that matter, is the New Edit of the first season any good?
