As always, thanks a lot, 1731298478! (what does this number even mean?)

wut. that baffles me. I don't own the books... but aren't there names given for the respective interviewers?
but... that makes the book's titles even more... fitting.

It was planned to have Death and Rebirth release in the spring and the all-new film release in the summer. However, Rebirth ran over schedule, so they were forced to release it separately in the summer instead (as EoE). Because of this, and Tsurumaki's reluctance to direct it, the all-new film was shelved indefinitely.
Ok, that's the first time I read, that there were two completely new planned movies. I always thought, There only should have been Death and Rebirth. Now the death-threats, while still despicable, make more sense.

It took place in a mostly destroyed world, with human beings confined to an area protected by an AT Field. A single bridge connects it to the rest of the world, and this is where the Angels attack. Angels would be seen eating humans, something they couldn't show in the TV series. Also, there would be no entry plugs, but the children would be implanted directly in the wombs of the Evangelions and surgically removed afterwards. If they are not removed quickly enough they are taken in by the Eva and cease to exist as a human being. Elements of this are preserved in the new films.
That sounds pretty awesome, if I'm being honest. Man, now I want an Attack on Titan directed by Anno. Also, damn you, Tsurumaki. Also, if those elements really did preserve, a Lilin-City becomes more and more possible.
- Every time Anno works on Eva he breaks down. The original Eva nearly killed him. The new project (http://neweva.blog103.fc2.com/blog-entry-3369.html) is by no means a diversion but something he has to do leading up to the next Eva film. He broke down again after he finished Q, but being married helped him to bear it. He was told by Miyazaki to persist to the end, so he will do so.
Oh, that's heartbreakingly cute. ♥
- He continues to work on Eva but it is very difficult. When he looked at the past schedule he saw that the time between films is increasing, from two to three years, and joked that if this pattern holds up the next film could arrive four or maybe five or six years after Q!
lol. Shin Eva confirmed for September 1st release in 2017.
