Well, has Sadamoto ever drawn anyone ugly, not counting supporting and non-named characters?
Still, I've been considering an Asuka tattoo for a few months but can't think of any of his illustrations of her in a plugsuit that I'd want to get inked.

I know right?
Makes me wonder, did he made some artwork of the characters from 3.0? I would really like his rendition of Rei Q or Misato in her new uniform! (and more Mari of course!)

Kensuke is a military otaku who, at one point, is shown creepily taking pictures of girls to sell. He would clearly fit right in as an animator at Studio Gainax. -- Compiling_Autumn
EoTV is a therapist, EoE is a drill instructor. -- Chuckman
Seriously, that is the most fananked theory I've ever heard, more than Mari being Marty McFly travelling through time to keep her parents (Asushin) together. -- Jäeger

The only 3.0 illustration that I know Sadamoto did is the one with Shinji & Kaworu that was used for the movie poster and the CD case for the soundtrack. I'm hoping since the manga is complete that he'll release another art book within the next year or so. Based on what I know he did off the top of my head, I think that there's enough material to fill a book out. I wonder if it would then be before or after Final?

Yeah, I thought that was already common knowledge. I was just emailing Carl Horn about it a week or two ago. I posted about it recently when the bonus chapter for the Japanese release was announced, but the news for the simultaneous release came out back in May.

Will this English release include all the bonus of the Japanese version? (artbook + extra pages)

Most likely not, the Japanese Limited Edition Volume 13 was its own thing when released in 2012. I'm hoping U.S. Volume 14 will at least have an afterward by Carl Horn since U.S. Volume 13 didn't.

Assuming VIZ'll release the Omnibus edition of 13 and 14 sometime next year, that'd be a good opportunity for bonus content, no?

I've heard people insist that there won't be another 3-in-1 because there are only two more volumes, and because the tops of the spines completely spell out Evangelion, but I think both of those lines of reasoning are kind of stupid. Since when has the Evangelion ever been consistent?
The comic book format and the first edition format both got discontinued after volume 7. Which also means there is no flopped version of 8 and on.
The second edition books have slightly different spine designs after volume 9, and volume 2 is slightly shorter than the others (or some significant amount are).
A 2-in-1, possibly with extra bonus content is entirely within the realm of possibilities.

Like some of you, I thought this was known already. It could be that they're confirming it's going to be same day. If I remember right, the US edition of volume 13 was released roughly a week after the Japanese edition.
I'm wondering now that there are three separate threads dedicated to volume 14, if it's a good idea that they should be rolled up into one thread dealing with the subject for everyone's convenience.

Makes me think that the bonus pages really will be just some moe slice of life classroom romance comedy. If it was a continuation of the ending then I think that that's something they would have wanted to get translated for an international release... ah man Sadamoto...I had a little faith, just a little...
