This new promotional flyer with mystery girls has both: "©カラー　©カラー・GAINAX"

This particular fact raises a question. Is there a chance that this short piece might not be released with the North American edition of volume 14, because there are potentially different rights involved compared to the main manga? I'm no expert in international copyright law, but I'm not so sure we'll get in in English.

Personally i hope this isn't Mary. Don't want her in the manga as a bonus character only because she appears in Rebuild.

I wouldn't mind, just a quick cameo to tell us that indeed, she exists in this universe too, but didn't played any role in the story.

Not really; all it tells us is what we know already, that there is a character that is not in the Gainax-based universe.

Yeah, I also kinda share the overall concern here.
I'm pretty sure it is Mari, there is just too much stuff pointing to that, even things like one sketch of her with loose hair in the CRC that looks the same as this.

However, I really wish there is no sort of "sequel theory" whatsoever, so I'm hoping that this chapter is either out of the manga continuity or that it somehow uses Mari without implying a connection to Rebuild.
