Yeah, I'm more than familiar with that. I probably spend more time on /a/ and various other boards than I do actually watching stuff. The more you watch, though, the more you can participate in threads and the more you get out of your discussion experience in general.

That's the real problem. It shouldn't feel like work at any point, really. Just watch what you like, when you like, without worrying too much about genre and whether you
should watch something or not. If anything feels like work, I'd just drop it. If watching anime in general feels like work, I'd cut it out completely, at least until that 'feeling' came back.
