Vetical is going to release Moyoco Anno's Insufficient Direction. This manga is her autobiographical account of her married life with her husband, of whom we are acquainted with. There is only one question that I have: Is it me, or does Anno look pregeant on the cover? :cringe:

No, he just had a belly. From what I hear his wife made him loose weight because of it.

FINALLY! I've been wanting to read what it's like being married to Anno!

What? It's not like I have any weird thoughts or anything!

That would be the manga that led to this thread back in the day -- thread/554/a-new-manga-about-Hideaki-Anno-and-his-baby/

Vertical have been putting out some quality releases of late, having just recently bought into both their MSG: The Origin and Knights of Sidonia titles myself.

Consider that, this will be a "Why the hell not" from me.

did that bump mean there are scans online?
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

I have the manga raws on my HD. Read them few years ago. It's pretty funny stuff and obviously interesting for anyone interested in Anno.

I hope they include translations of the huge Anno interview at end of Japanese tankobon.

I'm bumping this thread because it appears that Moyoco Anno is lauching a "new project" related to this manga. I don't know if this means she is making making more manga about her and Anno's life or if what is already there becomes an anime or if it's something else. Guess we'll find out.

And just to remind everyone, the North American release on the manga is a week from this Tuesday.

I hope Anno comes across some salaryman openly reading this on the train ride home.

If Vertical was able to get the extras for Gundam the Origin, there's a chance they'll get those interviews. Let's hope that's the case.

Uhh, the news is from 16th February and cyharding posted it on 16th February and you posted it on 17th February... :|

It's about new project.

Right. I guess you haven't got it yet.

They seem to have included at least something because I saw this on twitter. Holy crap this is probably in a way the most admirable (certainly dawwest) thing Anno has ever said while still being lolanno as fuq.

edit: Confirmed for interview and glossary content fuck yeah, preorder time
