Got back to Metal Gear Solid, and already I'm stuck again, this time on the fight with Vulcan Raven. It gives you no idea what you're supposed to do, the controls just plain suck, there's mines everywhere and the boss's attacks kill in 2 shots. This guy is so monstrously overpowered and unfairly difficult I could strangle a kitten. Tell me what I'm supposed to do, goddamnit!

Stingers, the Nikita and claymores are your friends.

But still, I find it odd that you are having trouble in that fight. What difficulty are you playing?

I don't have any Stingers, or Nikitas, or Claymores. Just grenades, chaff grenades and C4.

I think I'm playing on the easiest difficulty, but with retro games that doesn't mean shit considering how retardedly hard they made them.

Wait, is this the fight with the tank you are talking about? Because if it is, you just need to get close to it(using a chaff grenade or using the terrain) and trow grenades at the guy in the machine gun.

Yeah, it's the tank. But I can't get close enough because I have to avopid getting shot AND avoidig the mines, and by the time I get close enough I'm dead.

Huh, don´t you have a mine detector?(they look like red dots in the map) To deactivate mines you just need to crawl trough them.

Either way, if nothing works you could just watch some walkthrough in youtube.

Never give up.

Well, you´ll just have to keep trying.

By the way, you were complaining about the controls. You know that you will eventualy have to use a sniper rifle, right?

What I mean is, to put it simply: The battle you are in is easy and the best is yet to come, so start getting used to the controls.

NO, wait! I was also shit at that game at first, but I kept playing and dying until I beat it.

AND IT WAS WORTH IT.

That feeling when you overcome a great chalenge is irreplaceable. You-

no analogue support

I'm playing it on my PS3. How do you turn on analogue controls?

And to me, challenge gives no gratification, it just makes me angry that it's been much harder to reach the victory I rightfully deserve for buying the game. I don't really know why I play games- I suppose as a power fantasy, but seeing as most of them are too hard for me I don't know why I bother.

The big button in the middle of the PS3 controller, the one with the Playstation symbol in it. There is an option to switch to analogue mode.

I watched my cousin play the game when I was 11. It's a masterpiece. I'm still waiting to get a N64 to play OoT and MM. OoT is also awesome.
I don't get these Nintendo haters that say that Zelda is repetitive, that the games are rehashes. It has always the same feeling, but there is a lot of variety. The whole series is awesome!

And yes, get the 3DS!
In case you or anyone here likes Mario games, 3D Land is awesome. Perfect handheld platforming.

If you think that's hard try playing System Shock 1, made back in the days when you had to a hold a button whenever you wanted to look in a different direction

Don't worry about it, just follow Justacrazyguy's advice to turn on your analogue, and watch walkthroughs or read guides if you're still having trouble.

Today, IO ran home from work, totally deadbeat from work.
He decided to finally go get Revengeance, as he wanted to since the game came out for PC.
In his mind, he was going to go home, purchase it on steam and let it download while he dashed out to the gym to play it when he has come back, showered and well dined.

When he purchased the game, he realized
Image
it was 23 Gigabytes big.

^It is really, really worth those hours of agony. Trust me. It's probably one of the best action games I've played in the last year or so.

I'm still playing through Bayonetta, but I really wasn't expecting the ranking system to be so tough...and since I'm OCD about rankings I have to keep trying (and failing, at least on the first try) to dodge every attack and beat the time limit. I'm not sure if I'm just timing my dodges correctly, or not interpreting the enemies' movements properly, but everything stronger than an Affinity seems to be either fast as hell or powerful enough to strike me down in a few hits if I don't dodge in time.

So lately i've been wondering whether or not to delete War Thunder from my PC and just play IL2 in the meantime.

Do you guys think i should delete War Thunder?
