Unless the angel encounters one of the access shafts we estimate it might take as many as six weeks for it to carve its way through the geofronts upper levels."

"Knowing this we launched Unit 5 in attempt to recover units 6 and 7. Unit 5 was heavily damaged during the operation and its pilot's condition is unknown. Commander Katsuragi is on her way to oversee the operation personally. Proceed to your Evas and be ready to deploy."

After being dismissed you and Misato make your way to the cages. By the time you suited up and in the plug the elder Katusuragi has assumed command of the operation. She gives the command to deploy your machines.

Your order are to retrieve the downed units with priority on units 6 and 7. You are not to engage the Angel. Your lift breaks the surface of the city street units 6 are 7 are nearby. Unit5 lies eviscerated on the street near the flailing angel. The Geofront might not be in danger but the Angel is wreaking havoc on the cities infrastructure. Mari's condition is still unknown

Popping your pylon, you retrieve you pseudo-phallic replacement prop, the drop point progressive bowie pulsates as you ponder the proper place to plunge the point into the perfidious giant prick.

Finally you decide this is all a bit silly and you charge the Angel head on, completely forgetting about your orders.

"What the hell are you doing Shinji." you hear Commander Katsuragi as you plunge the knife into the Angel.

"I'm killing this thing before it tears up the rest of the city." you yell into the confines of your entry plug as you go psycho on the giant jimmy. Despite you best effort your attack doesn't seem to have much of an effect.

"Break your engagement and move to recover Unit5. Thats an order Shinji." you start to back away but before you can the angel turns on you.

You now have the Angels undivided attention. You narrowly avoid its opening attack but your umbilical cables not so lucky. You have 5 minutes of battery life and have been disarmed, your progressive knife knocked from your hand, is buried to the hilt in Unit5 chest.

2) head for the nearby arms cache, it has the type 20 positron rifle

Well, Unit 01 DPS'd so hard it got Sham's aggro, so 3 isn't really an option unless you want to kite the Angel for five minutes. Since you failed as a PUG, might as well go ARC and hit that sucker hard (2))

You dive out of the angels reach narrowly avoiding its energy whips, headed for the nearby arms cache. Behind you, you notice unit00 struggling with the misshapen bulk of the mangled unit 5. Over the comm, Commander Katsuragi is still giving you orders to disengage.

You finally manage to reach it safely but it has cost you a great deal of time, only a minute remains on your battery. You hear one of the Techs announce confirmation on unit 5's recovery. Unit 00 is nowhere to be seen, most likely having been moved back to it's cage.

The arms cache is still closed and refuses any attempt to open it with manual controls. Apparently Katsuragi isn't to keen on your recent bout of insubordination, but there's nothing to be gained by retreating now. Digging your fingers into the steel buildings seam, you peel the face of it off like a can of sardines.

You get the weapon mounted just in time to fire a close range shot, it easily tears through the angels A.T. field. You have 5 sec of battery life left. the angel is nearly on top of you, getting a shot wont be easy.
