Well it's normal : Shinji is too far gone to notice anything short of something like the Black Moon crashing in front of him, and Asuka is too pissed off to notice anything short of something like the Black Moon crashing in front of her(or a WILLE VTOL to pick them up!), besides both already saw a lot of cat in their life, for ReiQ it's probably the first time in her life that she see an organic being who's not humanoid(Lilin or Eva), she's probably wondering herself "What is this kind of creature?"

Possibly with Mari later teaching her how to look after/care for it once they get to the Wunder.

As I try to shut out the images brought on by a certain Adam Kadmon fanfiction in favor of... didn't Rei own a dog in ANIMA? Not sure if it was Rei III or Rei V.

Probably because somebody did something stupid and tried to blame the company for it, unless it arrived heavily damaged and a refund was refused. Did anybody actually read the one-star review?

EDIT: I see that it's in Japanese. Never mind.

EDIT #2: The reviewer is kvetching about how the first press was sold out and he wasn't told. So yup, he was being an idiot.

Maybe it's supposed to be a tribute to the huge influence the series had.

Also, kudos to the little girl for grabbing her big brother's toy robots XD I used to do the same thing all the time XD I even bought my own Action Man to rescue my barbies XD
