Roughly 11:45 into the film, we see a lower level of AAA Wunder wherein there appears to be an Eva submerged in a pool of LCL. The color of its armor/restraints is yellow and it appears to have twin shoulder apparatuses like the standard Eva. Furthermore, it seems to be sporting Unit-00's trademark one-eyed helmet.

Is that an Eva, or am I not understanding what I'm seeing?

If it is an Eva:
1. What's it doing there? What's its purpose?
2. What's the state of its body? Is the lower half of it submerged or is it just a torso? There does seem to be some kind of bone structure protruding from its upper half, vaguely resembling a warped ribcage or pelvis, but it could just be some machinery as well.
3. Is it 00? I know Zeruel consumed it in 2.0, but the resemblance is uncanny.
Thoughts?

That's Eva-08, still being fitted with Wille's new armor. Thus when Misato calls up Mari the response is that Hachigouki isn't ready yet.

It's very clearly pink and you can see 5 of the 8 eyes.

As you can see the last piece of armor being fitted is the panties.

Another interesting thing to note is that the pieces of armor on the cranes started out as half-submerged but eventually got moved all the way forward and blurred slighly to be out of focus.

Thank you TM, I always wondered what was these strange rib-like structures hanging above EVA-08.
So it's part of its armor... since the outer side of the plates have holes and aren't painted, I suppose it's actually a sub-armor for the big ping main plate.

Did the storyboard says anything about the two big black "straps" around its torso, just bellow the plate with the yellow parts. Have we any idea of what it is?

On a side note, we can see a yellow pneumatic boat on the back of the hangar, so the old method of diving to repair an immersed Eva is still in use. Scuba diving while the Wunder is airborne must be a very sportive experience!

Oh, yes, I expressed myself poorly, sorry.
It's just that since there is additional infos in the making-of bonus in the Japanese Blu-Ray(like that the Moon spinning around the ruins of Tokyo-3 is our Moon), as well as in the script hanging around somewhere which clarified the whole business with core erosion and that the big structure emerging from teh ground in 4I was the Black Moon, I thought that maybe one of these sources of informations had something about those straps.
