Yeah, it's always been a little wonky with that. My list is half English, half romanized Japanese.

Ghibli films. "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi" at least has the character's names (plus I know the -kakushi suffix from this movie and Higurashi's Onikakushi chapter) but the first time I saw "Majo no Takkyuubin" I had no idea what movie I'd apparently seen.

I've been on MAL for awhile. I've found it to be quite a helpful site.

So I just made one with all the Anime that came off the top of my head, and came up with a lot. Will update as I remember stuff I've seen and continue to watch Anime.

Is it just me or does MAL not email notify people about friend requests? I had a bunch that were pending and didn't even realize until I checked today!

Getting the strangest feeling of deja vu that I complained about this before...

According to MALgraph I've watched 1.53% of all anime listed on MAL. So in case you needed some random info today.

Didn't know MALgraph listed that. Appears I've seen 17.05% of the anime listed there. Looks like the site has changed quite a bit since I last went there. Activity is completely broken for me though. But the Favorites are pretty cool.

MAL is pretty useful, although I've slacked off with watching anime a little. Just starting to get back into it.

Not entirely MAL related, but during a conversation over at the anime/manga SE site, I took a screenshot of my media server's anime directories:

MAL has been down for the past couple of days and I could not update my anime list for more than 24 hours. Oh god, what should I do, how I am supposed to cover muh progress?

I started writing everything down in a small notebook. I remembered most of the things I watched, but there are close to 300+ things in my backlog I'll have to refer to one of my externals for the names.

So I decided to update my list, and good god the inconsistent use of romaji titles is annoying, and the arguments defending it are extremely annoying. I like how people argue that MOST English speaking anime fans know anime by their romaji titles, and that people should just be happy that they're not in kanji. Wrong... just so very wrong. How hard is it to make a setting in the control panel as to whether titles default to English if a common English title is available? Like, seriously, I don't know what the fuck "Jigen Sengokushi: Kuro no Shishi - Jinnai Hen" is, but if you said "Black Lion" then of course I would.

I feel your pain.
Although I did not go into the MAL boards or anything, as I'd find the same problem with a fair few of the important flicks on my list I realised I'd had enough of it too. I figured that if it had continued for this long it probably wouldn't change, so I haven't gone back to the site since. That was a few months ago, and I haven't missed it.

I had the same problem with the Japanese name of Ninja Scroll. The name inconsistencies makes it really hard to remember some of the more obscure titles on my list; I shouldn't have to put the English title in the tags.

Anilist has an option to import your MAL and change display settings for names. So there's that.

Oh look, I did this.

Oo-er - that's an awful lot to have covered in only two years; I think I need to have a moratorium on widening my experience of this stuff and recover the time for my other hobbies.

Odd, your profile says you only have 1.5 days of watched anime, but you've clearly got a lot more than that (over a thousand episodes of various tv series alone, that adds up to more than 16 days). I suppose MAL doesn't update regularly.
That said, it's really not all that much. My rough estimate is that you've got about 20 days watched, which adds up to about 40 minutes a day on average. You need to consider these things in perspective; 2 years is a long time. And besides, who cares if you're having fun (and not neglecting other important aspects of your life)?

For comparison, I've got about three times your time watched in about half the total time. That's a little unhealthy.
