And I'm not even flexing that hard(too busy laughing), when I flex you can already see some blood vessels

Picked up lifting when Free! started airing, got massive back and quads now (can't fit into my skinny jeans anymore, so that means back to Levis 511 :( ) but I'm filling up old coats in the shoulder section better now.
Feels great.

Teach me your lifting ways, oh great one.

I've been doing a lot of working out, in the past month.

According to the source of all things correct, my mum, I've actually started to put on a bit of muscle. That said, I'm fairly sure you don't want to see me without my shirt. The whiteness may be blinding.

Going through some old stacks of stuff at the old homestead in Shadyside. Found some old performance stuff, including one with a solo performance of Bagetelle no.2

Ornette, do you have recordings of you playing your piece?

No. Though it was recorded, I think the recordings were given to the students. I graduated in 96 so I wasn't a student that year.

Not gonna lie, I thought he looked better skinny.

But it's not like he's trying to attract me.

It's not like Monk likes you, or anything, IO.

Regardless, though, IO, how long have you been doing your lifting? I don't expect to get anything like that, anytime soon, but a timeframe would be nice.

2-3 months
Every other day
Starting Strength by Rippetoe

I'm 180cm though, so either give or take a month if you are shorter/taller
I also didn't supplement any whey protein until at least September.
Off the creatine for now.

Also genes/muscle insertion also play a big role, I always had a rather prominent back, even without resistance training.

Real dudes are 3DPD anyway. 2D is where it's at for my gay side.

InstrumentalityOne wrote:2-3 months

Wow. Wow. It takes only that long? I'm only a tiny bit taller than you, so I guess I should expect the same results. But you've been doing it pretty intensely, right? Like three times a week--

Every other day

Oh.

I'm about a month in, doing a Monday/Wednesday/Friday routine. I don't really take any protein, though. In a few months, I may post a picture. Until then, imagine me as Alex Louis Armstrong.

Actually, I'm wrong, in the 2004 link in my sig: http://www.tesuji.org/jonlin_2004/ there's a recording for the 2nd and 3rd Bagatelles. Just not from that particular concert.

Since I included a picture of me looking a dork in 1962 in another thread, I thought I'd put the record straight with a picture taken 49 years later:
