Checked the pics for accessories on revoltech mark 09, eva 08b and eva 02whatever, and they all appear to have the peg hands like Eva 13 :(
I loved the revoltech joints in the wrists.

Hmm-My Unit 08 (with the shield) has very small Revoltech wrist joints.

I try to keep telling myself I'm not going to get Evas from Rebuild... and then you post this, and make me want ALL 3 of them there - especially considering the good review it was given.

Eh - As cool as it looks I'm actually holding off of Evangelion 13 myself. Too much thematic and aesthetic overlap between it and Eva-01 and the Mark.06 (which I both own) to warrant a purchase. And I've already pre-ordered 02'γ, 08ß and MY BELOVED*.

:sweatdrop:

Also trying to save money and shelf space, haha.

Oh wow, already? Crept up on me there.
Meaning I can expect that payment advise from AmiAmi real soon...

i rather see anime faces painted on figures instead of sculpted, but still, depends on the figure

Review of Unit 02 y, figure looks pretty good, a little small perhaps with what looks like a new head sculpt. Can't wait.

Man I'm glad I held out on getting these right away lol The paint jobs are horrible and the 02y size is ridiculous. QC on these evas are prob the worst ever.
I mean I'll get them eventually but i'm glad I didn't move money/budget to get these right away. I'll wait til they get discounted some.

Does anyone have any information about this one kit?
Who ever did it or when... anything, please (already asked E2046 and they wouldn't tell me anything).

That proto-Asuka is a pretty ancient resin kit, sculpted by suzu/ATOMIC-BOM

http://www.sko.janis.or.jp/~suzu/atomicbom/index.html

EDIT:

My HDDs are a mess. Was gonna post more but couldn't find the pics so I just replied with the kit info. Now that I found everything...

The kit is based on an early Sadamoto drawing.

Suzu did both Asuka and Rei. Back in 2004 when I was just getting into resin figures I bought recasts of both kits from some tiny shady website that no longer exists. Started working on both of them at the same time

Eventually focused on Rei

But screwed that up and abandoning her

Focused on Asuka

And eventually finished her in 2006. The first (and to this day only) resin figure I've finished

I did eventually strip the bad paint off of Rei but never really resumed work.
