That's good news! It would be great to have all the illustrations gathered in a nice book. I already have the ANIMA Visual Book, but that was from a few years ago so it's outdated.

Nothing, I can only give you a slightly larger version of that pic:

No scans of the last issue appeared on /m/ until now, I guess that Mecha Guy probably scanned this by himself.

Since the newest Dengeki came out a few days ago it seems there wasn't any news of the future book in it. Can't find any blog posts and Yamashita is only tweeting his food.

The writing style makes it heavy going for fan translators; and there's no sign of it getting picked up by any of the usual publishers. As an LN it would have to be one of the specialist like Yen Press or Vertical.

There is a partial translation of the first chapter around page 17 of this thread, but that's all I've seen.

To be short it's an AU were Instrumentality was avoided thanks to Kaji revealing SEELE's plans to the world, and which take place 3 years later.

From here it's Evangelion's setting, but following the tropes of Gundam.

ANIMA is plain and simply another AU where EoE is cancelled, 3 year timeskip and other very crazy shit (of multiple flavors) happens.

That's why I compared it to Gurren Lagan, you can't really top the craziness of that anime, and they had gone really far in ANIMA(Asuka-Evangelion synthesis, Shinji without an heart...)

By the way how the plot did advance now, are we near the end? Did we found out who the hell is piloting Armaros and the two teleporting ones and what their objectives are?
