Well, not to sound like a dick but "no shit Sherlock", haha. It's not like I'm going to be walking around in public with my shirt off. You won't be able to see the work when clothed. I have good mates who have whole sleeves (Neck pieces even) and they've never had any negative experiences in Japan as such. Except the not being able to get into onsens or public baths thing - Not that they even tried, AFAIK.

The tattoos = Yakuza traditional viewpoint is one that is slowly dwindling away. In has no or little stock with the younger generations, at least from what I've been told from Japanese friends.

Also, I should mentioned that this is something I've researched thoroughly. It is permanent after all. I've been wanting to get it done since, like, forever. I have a list of a few studios in Tokyo. Some with English speaking staff, others recommending to come in with a translator, etcetera.

This was my first tattoo I ever got, and it is still my favorite, especially when others recognize it. It's on my right shoulder blade.



Still trying to figure out what I want my next one to be, but I'm strongly leaning towards "02" on my chest. (b'-')b

I have the SEELE logo tattooed in black ink onto my arm. I wrote up my current sig as a possible translation of the English quote, "The fate of destruction is also the joy of rebirth"... but I decided I should go watch the movie and write the actual Japanese quote from Keel down. I'm also debating whether to color it in to look like Lilith's mask.

I'd like to get the Lance tattooed on my ankle maybe... I should look into it.

Hey guys since I started this topic I added quite a few more tattoos. I added some pictures showing the progression. My arms have been a work in progress over the past 3 years. Check out the gallery! (especially my Rei tattoo )

I would love to get a nice shiny core in the middle of my chest.

Also, on my shoulders either the wings of light (or something more similar to the light-cross that springs out around Unit 01 as Instrumentality begins)


or GNR/Lilith's similar but more solid wings. These might be easier to make look good.
