Finished Generation Kill. Damn, that was pretty fucking tight. Haven't seen such a good war series since Band of Brothers. Just a very realistic and neutral depiction of war and so many memorable lines and everything Ray said was freaking hysterical.

Cpl. Ray Person: Look at this shit, how come we can't ever invade a cool country, like chicks in bikinis, you know, how come counties like that don't ever need Marines? I'll tell you why, it's lack of pussy that fucks countries up, lack of pussy is the root fucking cause of all global instability, if more hajis were getting quality pussy, there'd be no reason for us to come over and fuck em up like this, cause a nutbusting haji, is a happy haji.
Sgt. Brad 'Iceman' Colbert: Ray, how much ripped fuel have you ingested?
Cpl. Ray Person: I'm on it like a motherfucker Brad, haha!...
Sgt. Brad 'Iceman' Colbert: Well, no more of that shit...
Evan 'Scribe' Wright: An interesting theory though.
Cpl. Ray Person: Yeah, yeah, you should quote me on it, you know what, you should definitely quote me on it, this whole thing comes down to pussy! Look, if you take the Republican Guard and comp their asses for a week in Vegas, no fucking war!
Evan 'Scribe' Wright: So the war is not about oil or WMDs?
Cpl. Ray Person: No, in the opinion of this Marine, its about pussy.
Evan 'Scribe' Wright: And it's not about Saddam?
Cpl. Ray Person: No, Saddam is just part of the problem, if Saddam invested more in the pussy infrastructure of Iraq than he did in his fucking gay ass army, then this country would be no more fucked up than say, Mexico.

also, I love you Fruity Rudy and fuck that Captain America guy.

Dexter Season 7

LOL MIAMI METRO

Dex should just kill them all already and fuck off with Deb to Argentina to make some nice little wincest serial killer babies. In the meantime they can create a spin-off about Doakes and Masuka catching bad guys Miami Vice style.

I'm forcing my way through Full Metal Panic. It's pretty horrible, but I figured that since 2010 me spent 25 dollars on it, 2013 me owes it to him to watch it. Seriously. So far, it sucks. Don't watch it.

This would have worked if I hadn't found a letter I wrote to myself when I first received my collector's edition of Neon Genesis Evangelion:

"If you ever spend money on an anime collection, watch it to the end. You owe it to 2010 yourself, he's a bigger nerd then you are."

I can't just ignore that.

I just finished rewatching the first four seasons of Breaking Bad. I'm going to be very sad when this fantastic piece of television is over. :(

Watched David Lynch's Rabbits.

I... Don't even know.

SPOILER: Show
That scream was rather blood-chilling though

Also, watched the pilot and first episode of David Lynch's Twin Peaks.

By far the best mystery series i have seen (which isn't much), it managed to catch my attention right from the start. Characters are interesting (specially agent cooper and that girl who makes the norwegians go away) and properly developed, the series doesn't feel too crowded with the many characters we are introduced to in the pilot, and the soundtrack and direction are outstanding. The plot is also quite compelling, if rather vague. Definitively glad i found this.

Also, i have heard some allegations that Silent Hill 2 was inspired or based in Twin Peaks, that being the reason why i looked it up. I admit that i am seeing some similarities, or elements that i can tell were inspired from there to use in Silent Hill 2, specially of the technical or visual sort. However, i admit that the connections are much more scattered and small than i thought they would be.

Community was back on tonight!

But it was just kind of... eh...

Parks & Recreation was...

Also kind of... eh... but at least April had a good subplot.

At least The Office was good... enough.

Some dirty, rotten pirate has uploaded all of 3rd Rock from the Sun to youtube, so I’m listening to the episodes whilst I animate Gorillas at work.

Some of the episodes are burning 17 candles now, but haven’t aged a day.
The way the characters tackle such topics as race and gender politics so directly and innocently is refreshing, and more importantly- funny.

Maybe that’s just the nostalgia goggles talking…or nostalgia headphones in this case, I don’t know, but I’m about 40 episodes in and I’m still waiting for a bad episode to happen. I'm sure I'll find at least one before "Dick'll Take Manhattan"...

Well, mom just re-acquired Netflix, so I'm partaking of Bones and Star Trek TOS. I'm about 6 episodes into Bones, and I'm about halfway through season 2 of TOS. To me, Bones is sort of House M.D. meets Castle, but I really like the cases they come up with. That's what hooked me about House. Not so much the drama and interpersonal stuff, but how problems were solved. (Granted, the interpersonal stuff seems to have me more hooked in Bones, and also I may have a celebrity crush on the Deschanel sisters, but that's entirely besides the point.)

TOS is TOS. No need to explain more
