I was more implying that I'm that used to reading quotes like that attributed to you. No, no. Acchan has always been on the cute side to me, just never really any great shakes. In fact I had a short-term thing that never really went anywhere with a cute Chinese girl that looked kind of like her for a while. Of course, I had no idea what the fuck an Acchan was at that time. That picture of her did take me off guard to the point where I felt like mentioning it.

People who don't play Katawa Shoujo might not know these lines, it's part of Hisao's narration during the prologue, at the part where he begrudgingly agrees to join Yamaku, and tries to put a vaguely positive, open perspective to it all.


"At the very least, i'll try to see what my new life will look like."

That's the last line from the prologue and the one right before the start of Act 1 "Life Expectancy". Which was in some aspects one of my favorite parts of the VN. I chose those two lines as a signature because, considering all the events i have gone throught and all the revelations it brought me about myself, it has left me... Pretty drained, almost deppressed or empty, even when now i have a whole life/future ahead of me. So i wanted to try confronting that with a, if not exactly positive, at least an open-minded or not overwhelmingly negative/pessimistic attitude.

I don't think the reason's the one you think it is. In fact, AFAICT most who played it would tell you that playing it for the reason you have in mind amounts to doing it wrong.
