Eh, it was ok, much too predictable though.

For some reason I keep on picturing Babs Seed in the roll of Sherman Puttterman from the 80's horror comedy Terrorvision http://www.youtube.com/v/gUD0jgnoS-8?version=3&f=videos&app=youtube_gdata

I keep imagining her saying lines like "Lets break out da firepowah" or "The fastest way to a kill is a brainshot!"

I'm actually kind of tempted to write that fanfic

The Cutie Mark Crusaders were never the highpoint in the show for me in the first place. I never expected Season 3 to change that.

Hey guys, I just found something that I thought was really interesting.

Anyways, have any of you guess been following the fan-made audio adventures of "Doctor Whooves Adventures"?

They're pretty decent if you're both a Brony and a Whoovian. :toothy:

Anyway, I was stumbling on the cast and crew of the series, and I found something really interesting out.

Apparently, one of the voice actors, known as "Lauren Goodnight" who voices Twilight Sparkle (among others) had this little tidbit on her resume. --> Check it!

It turns out that Lauren herself actually did some voice work on the Director's Cut of Neon Genesis Evangelion!

Just goes to show you that these two shows can be connected in more ways than you think. :toothy:

I've been watching this over the past several months and I gotta say it's a very cute, enjoyable show. I wouldn't consider myself a Brony but... yeah, it's the bee knees for children's programming right now.

Saw this series once, was a bit weirded out but not particularly moved. It seemed really well drawn/animated and with very cute art though. Don't know if i should give it a try again.

Is there anything that would be particularly good/appropiate for a newcomer to watch, or any episode might do?

It's hard for me choose any one episode so I'd recommend starting from the beginning and going from there.

My suggestions:

"Applebuck Season" for a good intro to the Mane 6 and Applejack. The pilot episode was 'meh' IMHO; this episode was the first one that convinced me the show had real merit.

EDIT: Because, I think, of the way economic concerns are given weight. The plotlines of individual episodes have relatability and heft to them. It's not all fantastic wake-up-save-the-world stories like the season kickoffs and finales, and it's certainly better than the vapid boys-and-parties stuff in the 1980's and 90's iterations of MLP.

Continued,

"Winter Wrap-Up" for a very catchy song and Twilight adorkableness.
"Sonic Rainboom" for the Rainbow Dash AWESOME.
"Suited for Success" to counterbalance Rarity's not-so-good portrayal in "Sonic Rainboom." Also has a very good song.
"Lesson Zero" for INSANE TWILIGHT. And nuclear rainbows and KO'ed grizzly bears.
"Staremaster" for Fluttershy's quite side, badass side, and the CMC.

I'd recommend "Green Isn't Your Color." It's possibly my favorite episode of Season 1, seeing as how it feature my top three favorite ponies. (Fluttershy, Twilight, and surprisingly Rarity.)

Season 2 realizes it's older audience really well. Season 1 is still well written, but it still takes me until episode 5 before I can consistently enjoy the show as much as I want. (The rest is good too, but not as good.)

BUMP POSTING BECAUSE: I guess everyone has voted My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as the #1 TV show right now.

Yay!

We were all waiting for you to do it.

Episode was good. Except for the ending that is.

Yeah, that was pretty much an idiot plot from start to finish.

Yeah it kinda seemed like a really forced version of how the grintch stole christmas.

Bet Celestia is feeling pretty dumb if she went through all that trouble battling him over the eons and this is all it took to bring her old enemy under control.

Oh my...

A pony thread here? I do wonder what Celestia has in store for old Discord.

Oh and apparently Twilight is going to be a Princess.

I don't know about any of you, but this is rather...interesting, to say the least.

Hooray, 3 episodes (2 if I had seen it already which I didn't) left! ... yeah... oh... better prepare for the hibernation. It's gonna be a long break between season 3 and 4. "Winter is coming!"
