I get banned for merely making a passing mention of 4chan in post that actually had content in it, LOL SOMETHING AWFUL, INTERNET SUPERHEROES.

This is why you should never pay (well, get a friend to pay for you) for an internet forum, especially one that's run by batshit insane facists like SA, which is a shame because there's some cool people there.

Now, notice that there is a very, very tiny line down there refferencing /b/?

Please explain to me how is this a reasonable excuse for a week long ban, despite the fact there's no rules being broken.

It was spawned by a SA user (moot) not SA itself (by SA I mean Lowtax and Co.), however, 4chan has grown to be so different from SA, that honestly, you can't tell they're related unless you know beforehand.

Plus, do you notice how my only criticism of SA is directed at the moderation? that's because the userbase is generally LIKEABLE, however, the moderators are so banhappy you're lucky if you last there over 3 minutes, in addition, I did not break ANY of the existing rules in any of my posts (I was ESPECIALLY careful about this knowing beforehand of how batshit insane the moderation there is), my probation was just an admin throwing a tantrum because she does not like 4chan, what a dumbass, if they hate 4chan so much why isn't the humongous 4chan thread on ADTRW locked?

Well, Something Awful is well known for it's facist heavy handed policy.

I was talking to WT Snacks (former 4chan mod and SA veteran) on IRC a while ago and he recommended me not to mention 4chan at all because the SA mods seem to have an absurd, irrational hatred against us.

Supposedly, if you come back after a while and ask nicely for a second chance they'll let you back in. At least according to Bernard Monsha. I had no such luck.

Me? I personally think SA isn't funny anymore, but the forums have some pretty intelligent people in them that make the place worth it if you aren't targetted by the insane mods.
