The law doesn't protect people. People protect the law. -- Akane Tsunemori, Psycho-Pass
People's deaths are to be mourned. The ability to save people should be celebrated. Life itself should be exalted. -- Volken Macmani, Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra
I hate myself. But maybe I can learn to love myself. Maybe it's okay for me to be here! That's right! I'm me, nothing more, nothing less! I'm me. I want to be me! I want to be here! And it's okay for me to be here! -- Shinji Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion
Yes, I know. You thought it would be something about Asuka. You're such idiots.

Toothbrush scene BD comparison
Differences I've noticed.
*this is kind of obvious, but they probably have done something to the audio/video sync, don't know why
*far more detail around Karen's waist: Bellybutton, skirt, abs, etc.
*Karen's eyes after Tsukihi interrupts them are different
*Mouth sizes are normalized
*the color tone seems to be much lighter , probably to make it look less shady and more light-hearted lol
That's all I can get out of this, how about you guys?
Actually the toothbrush scene itself did not get that much fixes. Basically the lighting condition and some details on the Karen's waist etc. More changes can be found after the tooth brushing was done. While comparison using videos is fine, often comparison by screencaps shows the difference clearer:
For more details of what the major changes in Ep.8 were done in BD, check
http://blog.min.chu.jp/?eid=1243921
For Ep.9, check
http://blog.min.chu.jp/?eid=1243922
By the way, the website mentioned by the uploader of the video: sevenstyle.com sounds like a hypocritical site purporting to mock and laugh at all those "loli" "sex" and "nudity" in recent anime while the format clearly aims to pull in those who want to look at those things. Not to say it commits the all too common mistake made in the west of calling any cute little girl character a "LOLI" even when she is a high school student. A pity as the format of the website looks quite visually pleasing.

I never thought I would come back to Evangelion after EoE,

It depends how the characters are drawn -- some notionally 17 year old characters look half their age like the main cast of Manabi Straight (and can be explicitly labelled as loli in the original Japanese, as in the case of Moe-tan).

Well not entirely. Westerners often underestimate the age of even real-life Asian women by many years, so I would say the western perception is clearly an important factor. Quite many westerners seem to find it hard to believe some of the dress, hair styles or appearance some characters adopt can be anything but worn by a small child (i.e. loli).

I still don't understand why they did that. To me it looks like they just washed out the colors of the OA version and added nothing of substance to compensate. It's the opposite of what I'm used to seeing in the BD version of an ep.

Same here pretty much. I mean, I dig the whole neko angle as much as the next guy, but apart from that Hanekawa does nothing for me. Least favorite character in the setting.

I kind of like her, my problem is from all the potential love interests (I'm not counting the crab for obvious reasons) she gets pushed the hardest yet her focus is most of the times only nebulous. The only thing I know about her is that she is manipulative, she turns into a cat and she has phat tats.
I'm not expecting anything grand, it'll probably be just 2 hours of her trying to get into Arara's pants but maybe it can bring in some more light about her character.

Someone sampled the dialogue between Hachikuji and Koyomi in the first episode of Nise and made a quasi-song out of it:
The Courage to Tell a Lie
It's freaking great, blew me away.
Also now I realize that the whole dialogue was probably foreshadowing something bad happening to Mayoi in Kabukimonogatari
I finally found out how to link to smaller thumbnails with imgur
