Yes, I, the #1 expert on monsters of the week, am taking on one of the two Titanic animated movies, specifically the one with the gang of sharks and giant octopus! And yes, that is the one the Nostalgia Critic considers the worse of the two. I'll review it soon, you may thank GuyverSpawn for the request. :sly:

Edit: Why is this in my review of North topic?

Can we keep these all in one thread, even if you update the title each time?

This should be fun. I take it that you are going to review the 2001 film with the rapping dog as well?

I will take on one of them sometime tomorrow out of boredom.

Also folks, keep in mind that since these are kids movies and not meant to be accurate accounts of the Titanic, these will not be looked at as "offensive" nor will such factor come into play.

If it is a kids movie chances are it is going to be inaccurate and just designed for entertainment, not a real life account designed to be factual. If it is fiction and not trying to be offensive, then there is no reason to judge it as such unless someone who has been through those events says otherwise because he/she was actually there.

There was a reason this ship was named the Titanic.

Tines put all of Mr. Aquarion's 'Threads' into one neat little package, so that Mr. Aquarion will ever, ever have a reason to make a new thread ever again

TDSA Takes on The Titanic Animated Movies Part 1 of 2: Titanic The Animated Movie

Music: Surprisingly really good, especially the music where the Titanic strikes the ice burg, makes it feel David Lynch-ish

Pacing: Mediocre, kind of kills the movie

Lighting: Good, but not great, shading is a little heavy in most shots

Dialogue: Nothing out of the ordinary although there are synching issues

Video Quality: Okay for it's time

Action: None, but that is to be expected.

Effects: Very similar to the lighting

Other notes: This is offensive? It is just a kids movie with jewelry thieves with a pre-WW1 setting. Comedy here also was not bad nor was the dog rapping once you see it in context. It is definitely better than the animated junk made by Disney and their lackeys at Pixar. If you want to see a real lackluster Titanic movie, go with Titanic 2. Better than Taxi Driver, 'nough said.

Overall: Great

I still say its amazing he can give "great" ratings to stuff like this but can't handle most shojo anime. I suppose "girly" stuff is tdsa's kryptonite, next time lets put the rapping dog in a dress and see what happens.

You know, it's sad that if it does come to the animated world, it'd be a bit more silly than this pic.

OSORE! When living your life don't give up now keep moving on! TDSA Takes on Ratatoing!

Music: None, amazingly

Pacing: Could be better

Lighting: Okay

Dialogue: Nothing worth pointing out.

Video Quality: Very subpar

Action: None, but that is to be expected.

Effects: Pretty bad

Other notes: I swear a couple of the characters sound like Dr. Eggman. This movie had a unique cheesy charm to it that manages to make it better than Pixar's junk or even movies like The Hidden Fortress. Definitely an under rated low budget movie although it could have been better.

Overall: Okay

The other Titanic movie and some Korean animation movie about space are coming soon!
