Gundam AGE episode 28

That was so bad. Probably the worst episode in AGE so far and then that wedding...kill it, kill it with fire until no trace is left of it anymore.

That new Vagan mobile suit and battle easily made it the best episode of the arc.

The action and the new suit were pretty good but in terms of plot it felt a little rushed to me.

But yeah episode 28 was really not all that great not a good way to finish the second generation IMO. At least the white AGE 2 was cool (and all the action) but other than that the episode was rushed and that wedding oh god that wedding, at least Flit did not show up to the wedding proving that even he did not support it (or cared)

Watched Fate Zero S2 episode 3. What's there really to say about this episode. It wasn't any better or worse then the last two. It was just. . there. That's about it. :|

So I just watched the second episode of Strikers and......... Wow, this got boring fast, I'm starting to see why even fans don't like it. I will give it credit for not having the typical touches breasts by accident and get slapped scenario. Good thing I also watch Fighbird to get the rancid girly taste out of my teeth.

They have to make it plain that those two are the token heterosexual characters in Riot Squad 6.

Well nobody acts like lesbians so far so I wouldn't know. And where are these mecha references that are boasted about so much?

Take Subaru for instance. She’s a G-Stone powered Jeeg that can use Broken Magnum; or at least will be by the time she gets her power-up.

Broken Magnum

Bwuahaha no, if it was Dendoh I MIGHT be able to buy it, but a metal glove with a turbine a Broken Magnum does not make.

I also still don't see the lesbianism.

I meant to pick up the currently airing Jormungand earlier, but never got around to.
Kawada Mami OP, plenty of gun action, decent cast and pretty animation/CG/BG art.

Simply put,

this show is awesome.

What makes you think it cannot be a Dendoh reference as well? And there's the bloody G-stone.

Strange, I don't see it.

Aside from the turbine it isn't used in the same fashion.

GUNDAM FIGHTO, LEADY RO!

Postby Fireball » Fri Apr 27, 2012 7:27 pm

Started Gundam X now. Feels like a mix between old U.C. and Wing so far.

RABU RABU BURGER KING

The final definitely made up for most of the repetitiveness. There were a bit too many Shuffle Alliance shenanigans and God Fingers though. Tournament arc felt especially fillerish. The animation was limited and it had the most lolworthy Gundam designs. I mean, Jebsus they did not leave out a single stereotype. The story is minimal engaging but it has some clever twists to it. Pity, that the DWG games spoiled me, though I think I would have figured them out anyway. (speaking German doesn't help when he is named Black Brother)

However I do have to give it credit for being the first none U.C. title and trying to break the mold. I cannot imagine someone having the balls to do another Gundam series like that in our time. Not after AGE's reception. The few good parts were genuinely fun and entertaining. Particularly Domon's and Master Asia's relationships. That is the stuff MANLY TEARS are made of! It also features The Greatest Love Story Ever Told, which does say something about the frenchise as a whole.

My farewell goes out for the one and only

Fireball, if you're interested, Ryu Knight and J-Decker did air at the same time with G Gundam and were made by the same people; both series are better than G although J-Decker has a habit of being inconsistent with tones.

"Robots. They are much like us as they have human responses, emotions, and souls that grant them life. They interact with one another for the good of themselves and the other life forms they serve to protect. What is the value of humanity? Do machines go to heaven? Can a robot love and live life like a human? The humanity and philosophy behind it is staggering and thought-provoking as we slowly find out more about ourselves and the world around us as we age. Next episode, a giant panda attacks the city and it is too cute to look at! I mean LOOK AT IT!"

You'll see it eventually. It's kind of hard to miss, unless Jesus told you to skip the transformation scenes.

Aside from the turbine it isn't used in the same fashion.

That's asinine. I guess according to your definition the kiddie ride on the left wouldn't be a Gundam reference because it's "not used in the same fashion".

^That actually is a gundam (specifically the Mark 1), whatshername's big glove would come across more as an imitative reference rather than a visual one.
unless Jesus told you to skip the transformation scenes.

Anyway, just got half way through Fighbird and holy crap this series is awesome! Lets see what it has that is good:

-Neat monsters of the week? Check
-Comedic evil doctor? Check
-Funny smug detective? Check
-Catchy opening theme? Check
-Cool protagonist mecha? Check
-Abbott and Costello style evil duo?

Image
Check (please tell me I can use this when people start putting words in my mouth)

-Actually decent troops? Check
-Good main character? Check

and finally the main villain: DRAIAS! I have to admit, he is a well done villain, maybe he'll get a spot on my favorite anime villains list. The only real negative I have in this series is Momoko; she's like an ultra annoying Lois Lane with Haman hair that can't shut up. Oh well, everything else about this series is enjoyable.
