So English translation is available? Is it official or it's done by fans?

There is a pretty good fan translation up on Baka-Tsuki.

I tried reading the Baka-Tsuki fantranslation too, but it didn't quite feel right, dunno.
I just settled with waiting for Kizu film and reading Bake instead.

Good. Now we can get some proper BDs of the show and I can free up some space on my hard drive. :toothy:

Meh. Long as we get an unedited BD release I couldn't care less about the dub. It's not like I'll ever watch it anyway.

Not that I have watched this show before but it makes sense for it to get a dub. Anime with dub tracks generally sell far better than those with out dubs.

That and you don't have to watch it dubbed if you don't like it.
I for one will probably check out the dub for novelty purposes anyway.

You know at least Baka and Kizu have official Chinese translation, right?

Nise's BD vol.1 sales figure will be out tomorrow. Now otakus in Japan are saying that if it sells below 30000, which will still be a massive hit on that figure alone, it will be a failure, as it means it sells less than half of what Baka achieved. Estimates of the sales are varying a great deal though and one major reason is an apparent dispute (perhaps over price cutting by Amazon) between Aniplex and Amazon which made all except vol.1 of Nise to become unavailable for order in Amazon since around 3 weeks ago (and it is not just Nise, a few other titles have also become unavialable, like Black Rock Shooter BD Box and Fate/Zero BD Box vol.2). Neither side provides any comment on what had really happened. It is not sure how much this will impact the sales though - some may choose not to buy because of the convenience factor or the price factor, and we may not really see the true effect until perhaps vol.2.

Oh, I forgot to add that I am still(hehe...) reading the official chinese Bake translation.
Haven't been able to find Kizu anywhere.
I'll be on the lookout this summer though :D

^ The official Chinese translation (from Taiwan) of Kizu was only out a few months ago, perhaps prompted by the news of Kizu/Nise being animated. I have a feeling that pretty soon they will release Nise too. I also think some bootleg translation has been done in mainland China for several titles in the -monogatari series.

Okay, I'm a true -Monogatari noob but after watching only half of Bakemonogatari episode 1 I'm hooked!
Anyway, I noticed that Crunchyroll has Nisemonogatari and not Bakemonogatari. Since I can't afford a $60 DVD set quite yet and since I'm dying for a fix, will watching Nise- ruin Bake- for me? And will I even understand what's happening?

You could watch it before but you are missing the previous character introduction and developments. Nise is also structurally weaker. Might as well watch the better season first.

Nise is sequel to Bakemonogatari so watching it before Bake is pretty pointless. Besides, Bake is better than Nise

The news about Bakemonogatari has me excited, but I just exploded with joy with the extra info regarding The Garden of Sinners DVD release.
April 1995. I met her.
