After World Order's 2012 was linked in the music thread, it occurred to me to wonder whether there was a vocaloid rendition of any of their material. Well, I found one video, but not done the way I thought it would be...

Really well done.

Like
- Miku even wears glasses
- There are even passers-by
- The little Miku's

Not like
- Long distance shots are too long distance
- Miku's hair obscures the other dancers
- Yeah, not sung by Miku herself.....
I never thought I would come back to Evangelion after EoE,
But I discovered Re-Take (or it found me?) and
now here I am.

Reading in the Economist how an excerpt of 6 (or 7) second music made in mid-60s initiated sample-based music and changed the face of music including jungle, drum and bass, breakbeat techno and hip-hop ( http://www.economist.com/node/21541707 ) and fascinated by it, I found a video made in 2004 explaining the same, with audio samples: http://youtu.be/5SaFTm2bcac

This is a lot better than the rest of the crop, although it's a bit jarring to see... well, you know what I mean.

He reminds me of Jón Gnarr, who actually became the mayor of Reykjavik.

This is best thing I've seen all year.

Meanwhile, this year's Nobel Prize in Medicine goes to Britain.

Best few epic minutes ever. Funny (in a dark comedy way) watching the whole Pingu world go dark and bloody.

Where I live, there is a labor dispute between American Crystal Sugar and the union resulting in a lockout, which unfortunately affects one of my brothers. Anyway a few days ago; someone sympathetic to the union posted a spoof video using an old, and perhaps to many, tired meme. I found it funny since I have a somewhat good knowledge about what's going on, but I'm not sure what all of you will think.

Recursive image search starting with a transparent PNG, 2951 images in all at 12 images per second.

http://www.jwz.org/blog/2012/01/search-by-image-recursively-transparent-png-1/

There's one image that's sort of NSFW that's from a titty scene from Sparticus.

Yeah, I made a slowpoke post about it in a different thread as well. People on /m/ pointed out additional fun facts: the alien mothership is an HK-Drone from Terminator, and Freedom's 3D model is a piece of stock CG.

---

EDIT: Waaait a minute. Spotted this in the Youtube comments:

Alright, after doing some research, I can clarify what is going on. Please note, I am not defending this affront to humanity in any means. To summarize, a Shanghai based company, offers parents the opportunity to place their kids in CG movies, giving them the complete freedom to make up the script as they please. (Explaining why everything is ripped off and why the kids look so out of place) Rich mainland Chinese have too much money to burn on their kids.

I can already see TDSA and that Shinji_Ikari fellow from ANF robbing their grandparents in order to take advantage of this.
