I just downloaded and watched Evangelion 2.22 and I think it has no different with Evangelion 2.0. They're just the same! :jawdrop:

How do you think about this?

There were a few minor scenes added, and some existing scenes were reanimated to look better.

I am considering buying 2.0 for myself on DVD, but I want to know if I should consider buying 2.22. but first, I want to know what the difference between 2.22 and 2.0 is. also, has 2.22/2.0 been released on DVD in New Zealand yet?

2.0 is the version shown in cinemas.
2.22 has fixed contrast, and a lot of edited/added scenes.

I don't know anything about any kind of bonus, like behind the scenes, or storyboards. But I may suppose they're also added.

2.22 looks much nicer although part of that might stem from the...source...I used to watch 2.0

How can you get ripped off on an illegal download?

Very easily? Bad downloads are a dime a dozen.

Stick with whatever new versions of Evangelion are presented. 1.11 and 2.22 are always better than the cinema versions. Glad that Japan never did a 2.02 for EVA 2.0.

Why wasn't there a 2.02? I don't see any real reason to take it away.
