Damn it Professor, you ruined my buzz... I only wanted to compare this visually to when Unit-02 first woke up in EoE, not that.

The (right) arm is white (as blader said, the left is gray), and just a nitpick here, but AT = Anti-tank, though I would like to see a tank large enough for that rifle to take out.

That "muzzle break" its got is really just a pack of rocket boosters.

So they used parts of Unit 03 to repair Unit 02, I wonder if this means that technically it's Unit 07 now. Either that or we can call this thing Frankengelion.

I've been browsing all the 'Update' threads (I mean, this is being talked about in four or so different threads...)... and I suppose I'm simply glad something has been released that makes all you people giddy. As for me, well, I'm not giddy.

I think the best bit about this trailer is that the narration has absolutely nothing to do with what is happening on the screen:

Narration: "So I'm sure you're all glad to hear about Shinji, after all, we've been avoiding showing any new media of him because we might or might not be intending to drastically change his appearance"
Screen: "Actually we know you don't care, so here's Asuka flying around in space because pandering Asuka fanboys and fangirls is our foremost financial priority"

Well, if we're going to be literal, it's alternating black and white, the only red is on the shoulder pylons and those weird forearm cuffs (thought maybe they were flight surfaces to help Unit-02 navigate, but no, they all have them.)

Re: the blood splatter.

Remember there was part of the storyboards of the flashback to 2I sequence in 2.22 that showed the moon getting splattered. Just because that was taken out of the sequence for likely pacing/stylization reasons (really, the frame by frame transitions they were using there would've made it take a while to show what was happening, and by that time it would be a distraction) doesn't mean that we can't logically extrapolate it as a thorough trouncing of yet another sequel theory magnet.

I let this slip my mind for a day and I completely miss it! Oh well, I'm positively exuberant that there's finally new material, though that release window isn't something I'm willing to put money on given the history of Rebuild.

Does anyone else notice the strange piece of skull on the right side of Unit 02's head? I think it looks like they also used part of Unit 00's head.

Looks like its supposed to correspond to the damage Zeruel did, but that was more to the top part of that side of the head, whereas in that pic, it looks like it spread to more of the bottom as well. Plus, that doesn't exactly look like what's under that part of the armor, I don't think. Perhaps it was just a rush job on NERV's part to kinda patch it up best they could? Or maybe this is just a rough version of the scene, and they'll change it up for the final.

Did Zeruel actually smack her in the face? To me, it looks like it could be used for some targeting shtuff for the Eva. And I find it hilarious that Asuka is actually managing to keep her ass on the seat, considering there is zero gravity.
