Picked up Halo Wars again. I sold it when a lot of my friends stopped playing it, well wouldn't you know they start it up again a week later -_-. Had to relearn how to play it but I can now at least put up a fight online. We had some great games and some miserable ones (like the one where the other team toyed with us for two hours) Its still a lot of fun but one of my other friends described it best, "Oh Halo Wars, Baby's First RTS."
I also got Bioshock. Its kind of weird that I haven't gotten it until now, even after every one I know swear its the best thing on earth. I guess I was just waiting until it got cheap. Haven't gotten very far yet but they immersion and atmosphere are amazing.
Also replaying Mercenaries 2. While not a great game it isn't all bad.
Going to get Tales of Vesperia next week (also another game I've heard nothing but good things about)

Looks like there's 20 missions including the suicide one (that's there just for making money):

End screen:

The setup I used (there was a bomb inbetween the engines until I realized I didn't need to have them equipt):

I noticed that if I had an autogun in the tail, it only shot 1 bullet, but if I had it in the middle, it shot double bullets. No idea if that makes any difference.

Almost finished with the Syphon Filter trio, then I'll finally get around to checking out the falloutNV DLC.
Has nobody else even heard of this series? I figure with all the MGS fans around here there'd be at least a few folks who know what's up, since they're rather similar.

I played them all when they came out. It's been a long time. They aren't much like MGS though. They're a lot more like Splinter Cell to me. They're good classic Playstation games. Nothing more fun than setting guys on fire with the taser.

It's a series of stealth/action games with a completely ridiculous overriding plotline. Sure they don't drone on forever with endless cutscenes but it still seems similar enough to me.

I remember I played it with my Uncle when I was...Well, too young to remember how old I was several years later. Those games were so damn fun back in the day.
Since I now have my gaming PC I have been playing; Mass Effect, Crysis, Crysis 2, Metro 2033 and Killing Floor. I'll be installing GTA IV, L4D2 and maybe System Shock 2 tomorrow.
Also; I completed Deus Ex yesterday evening. Damn that game was good. I get what all the fuss is about now. Looking forward to Human Revolution.

Well, that's 3 down.
Has anybody ever played the later titles for PS2 & PSP? I've heard very mixed reviews without much detail. I'd be happy if for once there was an escort mission where the person I'm supposed to guard doesn't constantly piss me off.

I once played it, and was a little more fun compared to other games within its class (MGS took much of brains to keep being stealthy, and ditto for Splinter Cell, but they were fine games and I still have two versions of MGS on the shelves).
Gonna try using an emulator to run them on the PC, but first I'll have to buy an analog controller.

Nothing at the moment then just doing side missions for the Dark Brother Hood in Oblivion. I'm thinking about picking up Catherine since I hear great things about it and I have been looking forward to it for a while now. I hear it's hard as hell though.

I nabbed Limbo, Trials HD and Splosion Man on disc because I'm too cheap to pay for Xbox Live. I'm going to pick up Catherine, Mortal Kombat, and Portal 2 as soon as the prices go down because I'm a cheap bastard.

Catherine > Katherine, all day erry day.
Received Catherine for PS3 in the mail the other day (got release-day shipping from Amazon for 99 cents) but haven't had the chance to play it yet.
Also managed to snag Dragon Quest IV for DS at $16.99 with free standard shipping from Amazon. I'm really excited to play this for some reason but it won't be here until Thursday.

been playing Bioshock on and off whenever i'm not lazy around midnight. there's so much to like and little to not like. first time meeting a little sister and i just couldn't harvest her; the face they make is worth it. there are some scary moments, especially when i first got the shotgun and the lights blacked out and the magically appearing corpse and splicer in the dental office, but once i absorbed the environment it's not as scary as a lot of people make it out to be.
i want rebuild
