Just have to say I'm quite excited to see this dubbed, and in blu-ray on my big screen. :harpy_liplick:

This is for the non-blu-ray I'll say now, but a really good anime store I shop at online just came out with 2.22 today. If you want it early, snag it up! I'm getting the blu-ray too, but I don't mind double dipping, as my friend said he'd by it off me. And for those of you without a blu-ray player, I'm sure you'll be interested in this!

odds are with the time of shipping factored in you may get it by March 29

Reminds me of when I got 1.11 a day early.

I was psyched.

But oh well, already ordered my Blu-Ray from Rightstuf. Who knows, maybe I'll get it a day early again.

It's a decent price but seeing as how Amazon is selling the DVD for half the price ($10 is incredibly cheap!) I see no reason anyone should rush unless they're dying from anticipation.

Course I'm going with the BD. It will be nice to watch the film properly!

13 days remain....

I'm quite hyped about it. I'm just glad they aren't releasing it in late April when finals kick in.

Oh, awesome.

Got Shipping confirmation on Eva 2.22 from RightStuf. Will arrive probably tomorrow, how is this possible? Anywho, I'll post pictures when I get it. I find it hilarious, maybe because I use Free Shipping and don't have to pay tax, on top of that Iowa is so close by.

RightStuf pretty much always ships FUNimation's stuff super early. Enjoy. :D

I got my shipping confirmation from TRSI last night. I'm pretty excited. In fact, I've been rewatching the TV series and will rewatch the first Rebuild movie in anticipation.

Yeah, seems like it.

Then again FUNi uses RightStuf as their Warehouse, if I'm correct? So they just see the stuff that won't be on shelves for a few days and ship it. Best strategy to keep customers ever, that way you either get it on the Street date or before it you're lucky.

Street dates aren't really required for anime. I see it more of a deadline.

Stuff from SentaiFilmworks sometimes ships 3 weeks early. Funimation's dates are usually two weeks early.

Oh, never knew that. :\

Mainly because most of the stuff I've bought was either out already or from Bandai, where delays were constant for no apparent reason.

I wonder if they're really going to have that bright orange box with the text.

It is.

Actually, thats a slipcover (Complete with nice texturing), it has a flap with an image of Unit 02 with the words "In the war between heaven and earth, Salvation is Machine. Removing the slipcover reveals a normal Blu-Ray case with a picture of Mari and the "Evangelion 2.22" logo. Disc is a hideous shade of burgundy.

Oh, pictures.

Sorry bout the glare on some of them.

Ooh, looks awesome! Nice how they used a combination of sorts with the packaging of Japanese release and (another) official image. Looks good!

EDIT: Is that sticker ON the packaging or on the plastic shrinkwrap?

On the packaging unfortunately.

On the back of the slipcover there is a "Disc made in Mexico" sticker as well, though that is easily removable.
