If this is true:

Eva 1.0 took 1 year to make. (1 year from announcement to release)

Eva 2.0 took 2 years to make. (From release of 1.0 to 2.0)

Eva 3.0 takes 3 years to make? (From release of 2.0 to 3.0)

I really hope 3.0 is the final entry because I can't wait four years for a proper climax. (2016)

Uh, that's not what I'm saying. The twitter page is to some fan in Austria.

I want an actual source (Suzuki's own twitter page, for instance, which would be somewhat better).

Key word here is "unlikely", we might get a December release just in time for Super Robot Wars Z 2 Part 2.

Sadly,this shouldnt be taken seriously since it isnt an offical source. It's just some fan page and those are hardly ever reliable.

I put everything through google translate up to Feb 7th at some point and nothing seemed to be about Eva Q, but most of the tweets were gibberished by google so who knows.

I went back as far as Jan 26th the only Eva related tweets were about bacon, mayo and that sekai-seifuku cosplay stuff.

I really hope you're bringing this up as an example of a silly rumor people jumped on that was later proven fake. That page could really use a disclaimer stating that it was internet shinenigans and the cited Newtype issue contained nothing of the sort.


Slightly related, the March 2011 issue of Newtype that comes out in about a day once again contains no Eva news.

I think a release this year is made more likely by the official statement. not by the interpretation by a fan however.
I think there are still 2 films. The english voice cast think so as well.. in recent interview on Anime vice.

The question is if they're making 3.0 right now, or 3.0 and final? Will they be out together, or will they still have Final to make when they finish 3.0?
