As far as I dared to follow it (not bidding, just window shopping) it was around 56 bucks...

But I read in an online review that that Sachi was stiff 'cuz the rubber body made hard for the inner skeleton to hold a pose before returning to it's old shape...

Blue thing is the suport, the fangs, are the spikes the angel toss at eva-02 in the movie.

Yeah.....the core is nice....but i certainly wouldnt want to get this figure just for the core. Now however, if this Unit 02 came with the torso of Sahaquiel with the core attached....then yes, that would be considered a worthy buy.

However, it doesnt. In my eyes the Robot Damashi Eva Unit 02 is still better than this Revoltech. In sculpt and poseability. Paint job may still turn out sloppy with this Revoltech. A shame.

Indeed... Then again what about the knife unfolding pylons or the needle launcher pylon...

I have that opinion too, of all the Revo Vs Damashii issue; but as for variety, Revoltech wins over 30 to 6...

We have assumed that from the photos, maybe they managed to make a figure that glossy without having it melting... We still need to have the figure (and since this Eva 01 and Unit 02 will be bought directly rather than ordered through an Anime store, I bet I'll be the last one in the thread to get it...)

That new Eva Unit-02 that Arael posted has shown up on the Gainax Official Shop Side Eva overnight. I'd share a link, sadly the shop site still doesn't like direct page links. So instead, here's a bit of Japanese copypasta, some photos, and a price in yen.

Nice one EvangelionFan! Still skeptical on how much the articulation on the figure has improved since the last version. At least they returned to using the flat red colour instead of giving us a metallic red.

At this point im wouldnt rush out to buy this when it comes out, but again i wouldnt mind accepting it as a free gift if anyone gives one to me.

I must say, damn, Kaiyodo really ímproved the mold here, I'll go as far as to say that it is serious competition to the RD line, if I hadn't any eva I think I would buy the revoltech one o ver the RD just for the extras alone.

Yes the damashii can do that, i just don't know if the head will go that far, since the neck joint is kinda fixed in a low angle.

oh and about official, i mod my toys cloth myth radamanthys and sorento didn't come with the original anime colour, so i changed them

Why would you mod Sorrento? He came in anime colors, and Radamanthys was a mix of anime and manga but still it looked good.

I wouldn't dare to touch any of my myth cloths, if I screwed anything or didn't like the end result I'd kill myself because I can't afford to buy them again.

And back to the topic, I'm kinda exited to see if the beast will get the same treatment, or if units 00 and 03 will be normal releases. Also is this a teaser that the new movie is coming soon? Aside of Kayiodo milking the cash cow I think rebuild 3.0 is near.
