Hi, just posting in here to prove I'm not a spam bot!

My Eva history is this:
- saw the english dub of the series when it aired in Australia
- forgot about eva for many many years
- housemate mentioned something recently about the new movie series (I'd been living under a rock, hadn't even heard about it)
- so now I've bought the Platinum collection. Am watching all the Episodes in English again to re-familiarise myself
- then I'll watch them all again in Japanese with subtitles to get more of the subtleties
- I've read all of the wikipedia pages relating to the eva anime
- working my way through the evageeks wiki at the moment
- then I'll watch Death & Rebirth and End of Evangellion
- then I'll watch Rebuild

Also, I'm watching Episodes 1&2 and 8&9 over and over as I try to spread the eva joy/addiction to unsuspecting friends (the battle sequence in 9 is my favourite!)

I have a question please: it is very hard to find a copies of D&R and EoE in Australia, finally I have found a set for sale. It is the English dub (I don't know if it is the Movie Collection set, or just the movies separately). Will it also have the Japanese dub with english subtitles? Or do some discs only have the English dub?

nomis1242: Unless you end up getting a hold of a bootleg, Manga Entertainment's release of Death/Rebirth and EoE has both the English dub and Japanese sub on it.

Hello, here to make sure my account won't get purged. I came because this seemed like the best place to discuss 'Evangelion. Greetings to all of you, hope I'll be staying for awhile. The wiki is also very, very useful in light of how confusing things can get sometimes. Tho' sometimes it points out new mysteries, and raises more questions, which I like too because its part of the fun about being an Eva' fan.

Hi I'm Rafael

I'm a total Evangelion obsessed otaku. So much so that it's probably not healthy, but I enjoy it, so whatever.
I actually agonized for months over whether or not to watch rebuild. I finally did it tonight. I am convinced its not really a remake, but a continuation. We can argue over that later.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi so I don't get purged!
